Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Smithfield-Selma, NC

We had the king suite. The service was good! The ladies at the front desk were very pleasant. The aesthetics of the building were great. The foot traffic was a bit sketch. The pool was closed, which ****** because our visit was at the end of July and the a/c was out in the lobby and the elevators. It would have been cool to take advantage after an afternoon at the outlets or a night swim after dinner. There were no extra towels, no bathroom towels to put down on the floor outside the shower and no trash bags of any sort. The front desk said they were completely out. Be careful in the shower! It’s incredibly slippery!

A little get away from the regular lifestyle...enjoyed the stay and will be staying again soon

For starters and the good part of the stay, the beds are not bad. As for the cons, I do not think this place lives up to Radisson standards. Very dirty, and fowl smells. Pool is not operational, no breakfast available (only bags with a muffin, orange, bottle of water) available at front desk. No comfortable outside seating area and limited staff available. Front desk staff is poor at best. Our room (217) did not have proper water temperature in the shower, it was either ice cold or scolding hot, I had to take cold showers, I initially thought it was just me, until my girlfriend came out with red skin and also complained of the scolding hot water and couldn't even finish rinsing her hair; as I was reviewing property reviews I found another review complaining of this (see photos). Also missing a curtain. In closing, found all kinds of good stuff under the bed and stands including open food bags, ebt cards from previous guests, etc. I requested a refund within 20 mins of being here and it was declined, so I made the best of it. I will never stay at a Radisson property again. There are 5 hotels immediately surrounding this place, I highly recommend you look into them. The excuse for everything in this place was they are waiting for the inspection to open up completely. The reviews all seem to be the same as of late. I doubt it take over a month for an inspection. I would like to also add, the other 5 properties must have had their inspections as their pools are operational and they are servi g food.

The property needs some repairs, but not too bad that your stay will be ruined. I think they are, like almost everywhere else in America, is short staffed, so attention to some details is sorely missed. Vacuuming and sweeping general areas needed. Our room had some repair issues. The feature wall wooden skats broken, bathroom door wood/paint oeeling back. Caulking needed around shower. The breakfast was nice as far as hotel breakfasts' go. Front desk staff was extremely nice and friendly! Location was oerfect with MANY food options within waking distance. Outlet mall less than 2 miles away. Easy access off I-95. Nice for aweekend getaway.

Property was dirty and you had to ask after check in for towels and soap that should be in every room and also their breakfast was nasty.

Hotel was worn. Not to the standard of country inns. Breakfast was not so good. Be better to offer less and make it good

At check in we where assigned 3 different rooms. The 3 room was suitable to sleep in but we had to keep the lid closed on the toilet to keep the sewage smell out of the room. The hotel itself wasn’t too clean. The price I paid for the room was not worth it. I spoke with other guests at hotel and had basically the same experience and was very dissatisfied with the property and the price they paid to stay and will not stay there again.
