Aegean Wave - Faros

Ho avuto un'esperienza meravigliosa all'Aegean Wave Hotel. I proprietari dell'hotel, il Sig. Antonis e la Sig.ra Andromachi, così come il resto dell'albergo, erano estremamente accomodanti ed educati. Sono stato fatto saltare in aria dal primo momento in cui sono arrivato lì. Puoi letteralmente vedere il mare da ogni parte; il ristorante dove si fa anche colazione, pranzo e cena (ristorante Faros); da tutte le camere da letto e dai terrazzi comuni, dove potersi rilassare il pomeriggio guardando il tramonto. Le migliori viste del tramonto sull'isola si trovano nell'area in cui si trova l'hotel (cioè nel villaggio di Glossa). Non potevo farne a meno di questo vino bianco locale servito dai padroni di casa sulla terrazza, mentre guardavo il tramonto. Da lì puoi anche vedere le vicine isole di Skiathos e Arkos. In relazione alla camera da letto, il posto è spazioso e viene pulito quotidianamente e ti mettono anche gli asciugamani puliti ogni giorno. La terrazza della camera da letto era enorme e molto accogliente. Il materasso e i cuscini del letto sono molto comodi. Nel complesso il posto è tranquillo e silenzioso. Consiglio vivamente il ristorante dell'hotel chiamato "Faros". Ogni giorno vengono serviti piatti locali freschi.

The hosts Antonios and his wife are extremely generous, welcoming and lovely people. The apartment was stunning, spotless and you could tell a lot of thought, pride and love had been put into creating a very lovely place to stay from the well appointed kitchen to the spacious and comfortable bedrooms. Parking was good and Wifi excellent. It's in a lovely position, near to Loutraki and Glossa, but peaceful. The view from the large balcony/ terrace is outstanding! There were plenty of loungers, a table and chairs where we had dinner watching the sunset. We only stayed one night as we had already booked a week on Skopelos as part of a package holiday, but decided we wanted to see more of the island. I wish we could have stayed longer and I hope to visit again. Upon leaving we were given a jar of fruit which I shared with my father today and it was lovely! Don't hesitate to book if relaxing in peace with an amazing view and wonderful hosts is what you are looking for.

The whole thing from start to finish, was a mistake. We shouldn't have booked this hotel in the first place. First, it isn't as close to town as er thought, based on the description. You have to walk approx 1 mile up a steep hill to get to it from the port. Second, the owner's attitude was shocking to say the least. When we arrived, he insisted on seeing and photocopying our passports. Had no problem showing our passports, but I didn't wish to have them photocopied. I've been travelling all over the globe for years, never had such a peculiar request before. When I pointed that out to him, he said that's what the law says - when I asked evidende of such law, he was unable to produce any. He then claimed he is the president of some kind of local hotel owners club, which means nothing. I was trying to understand the reasoning for such behaviour. His response was that if we were criminals, then Police would like to know our details! What a nice way to welcome your guests, by implying they may be criminals! I explained storing a paper copy of my passport in his back office, wasn't a very secure way of handling personal data and I wasn't comfortable with it, but he wasn't listening. In the end he gave us a refund and we walked off. Thankfully, we found a place in the main Skopelos Town, which we ended up enjoying thoroughly, as Skopelos Town seemed to be a lot more civilised. We never returned to Glossa, nor we are planning to do so, ever again.

Spent three days on Skopelos Island traveling alone. I stayed in Glossa at the Aegean Wave Hotel and loved everything about it. I enjoy the exceptional service provided by the owners of the hotel. My room and the restaurant had breathtaking views of the sea, glossa village, and other islands. It’s not directly in Glossa, but you’ll need a car or motorbike to get around the island anyway. I highly recommend Aegean Wave Hotel

Wonderful place to stay The view is fantastic And Antonios and Andromaque are very helpful Will come back I already miss the view the island and the quietness of the place

The room was comfortable and clean. The owner and the staff were all kind and willing to help. The view of my room was unique. A nice, simple breakfast with handmade choices. It is not close to the main city of Skopelos, but there are still things to do which can be found near the hotel. Highly recommend it!
