2W Lake

If you're looking for comfort, quiet elegance and personality this is the place for you. Your host Clark is warm, inviting, friendly, a great conversationalist and quietly attends to every detail to ensure you have a wonderful stay. We stayed in the West Lake Room and it was spacious and comfortable with a great view of the lake. You can start and end your day sitting on the wrap around front porch enjoying views of the lake and center of town. If you have an interest in art and history, you can enjoy his beautifully appointed parlor with books about local history and beautiful artwork. You will thoroughly enjoy amazing breakfasts served on china with silverware and linen napkins. Each day, Clark sets out freshly brewed coffee in the morning on the front porch. On our first morning Clark made croissant French toast with chicken sausage and fresh berries. Our second morning Clark prepared egg in a nest with sliced avocado and fresh fruit. Everything was delicious! For lunch and dinner, several great restaurants are a block or two away. Clark has recommendations for every palette. While it may seem slightly more expensive than other nearby options, it is worth every penny, you will not regret your choice to stay with Clark. We arrived as strangers and left feeling as if we had gained a friend along with a love for this beautiful place. This was our first trip to Skaneateles and we cannot wait to return to 2W Lake!

What a wonderful couple of days in Skaneateles. Thank you to our acommodating host, Clark. The house is beautiful, spotless, and perfectly located within walking distance of the lake, restaurants, shops, and galleries. Clark provided information and recommendations that made our stay memorable. And Clark's breakfasts were easily the best meals we had in town. Stayed 2 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. House is beautiful and in a prime location within walking distance of everything the town has to offer. Breakfast was incredible served on the front porch just across the street from the lake. Clark and Harvey are wonderful hosts. All around wonderful experience!

We had a wonderful winter weekend here. Clark is the consummate host and his home is lovely, so tasteful. Excellent beds and linens, gourmet breakfasts. Sparkling clean, enjoy all the gorgeous windows and rainbow prisms from the leaded glass. Stunning.

This was our 3rd visit to Skaneateles, 2nd stay at 2W Lake B&B, but 1st under the hospitality of Clark Maher. As visitors from central California, we love experiencing the beauty of the Finger Lakes Region, especially in late fall and winter. 2W Lake is ideally located with stunning views of the lake and walking access to all that the village of Skaneateles has to offer. In addition, what a great starting point from which to explore the surrounding lakes, wineries, and natural landscapes that abound in this beautiful part of the country. Clark was a welcoming host from the day of booking to our goodbyes on the day we left. Not only does he prepare delicious breakfasts each morning, he is an engaging individual interested in his guest’s varying backgrounds and experiences. He even delayed breakfast on Sunday morning to enable my wife to attend mass. His knowledge of the area is deep and his recommendations for dining and sightseeing excursions proved to be spot on. With the grace of God this will not be our last visit to Skaneateles and when we return we will certainly stay at 2W Lake. Mike and MaryAnn Nipomo, California

What a marvelous snowy getaway at 2W Lake B&B! Host Clark was attentive, responsive, and provided a wealth of knowledge about the area. We especially enjoyed relaxing conversations with him after he served sumptuous morning meals. The room was immaculate, well-appointed, and quite cozy with a stunning lake view. Highly recommend!!
