Alenti Sitges Hotel

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at the hotel, during which I encountered several issues that left me quite disappointed. Upon check-in, I found the reception staff to be rude and unprofessional. I was repeatedly asked the same question regarding the number of people staying in my room, despite clearly stating it was just me. Additionally, the check-in process took an unnecessarily long time as two staff members engaged in conversation, seemingly disregarding my presence. At one point, one of them even took a call on her mobile. I constantly felt like I was being watched or was waiting to be questioned which made me feel very uncomfortable while staying at the hotel. I chose to upgrade to the penthouse, expecting a premium experience. Unfortunately, this upgrade did not meet my expectations and felt like a poor value for the fee charged. I was disappointed to find that while I could access the lift to go down (the lift in-between 34 and 35), there was no option to return to my room that way. The amenities in the penthouse also did not feel special; there were no shower gels provided in the shower itself only handwash on the sink, the hot tap on the whirlpool was coming out cold, and I was surprised to find no price list for the minibar. I assumed it might be included, as is common in other hotels, only to be charged for it at checkout. There was also no use on the TV – no channels and the function of connecting the phone did not work. Furthermore, when I requested the cleaner to return later as I was busy in my room, I found her to be quite rude. This interaction added to my overall dissatisfaction during my stay. In summary, my experience at the hotel did not live up to the standards I expected, especially with the upgrade. I regret not opting for a more standard room, as the additional benefits were minimal and did not justify the cost. If you stay here the upgrade for penthouse is not worth it and stick with a standard room.

This hotel has recently re-opened after a major refurbishment which has been done to a high standard . A mostly positive experience with a few tweeks needed to improve it even more. Positives : Prime location right near all local bars and restaurants and the beach . Well soundproofed . Rooms and amenities of a high standard. Well appointed with bath and shower, robes and slippers, good quality towels and bed linen , quality toiletries and coffee machine. Housekeeping of a high standard. At first glance breakfast looked a little sparse but actually everything you needed for a full continental breakfast with hot options available . Excellent roof terrace with comfortable chairs and sun loungers but with a very small pool that could probably be only classed as a plunge pool . Honesty bar up there for beers and soft drinks. Negatives: No terraces or balconies other than rooms with hot tubs . However , we did discover belatedly that the floor to ceiling " window " in the room could be slid back and you could sit in the chair in your room in the sun. Some health and safety shortcomings such as absence of fire instructions but particularly lack of grab rails in bath and shower . Porcelain extremely slippy and almost impossible to get a purchase on sides of bath to get out . Great difficulty in running bath due to fixed bath screen . Had to stand in bath to put plug in . Appreciate we are an older couple but not an age thing more a safety issue. Mini bar in room with water and soft drinks , which, in the absence of a price list , we thought were free . Big mistake. Only realised when we came to settle bill and discovered small bottle of water 2.50 euros . Never been charged for water in previous hotels in Sitges. Price list needed in room . Also, with regard to drinks no cava at breakfast which at this price point I would expect as again this has always been available elsewhere . No coffee served at bar after 4pm even for residents. Nowhere to store suitcases at check out although the guy on Reception allowed us to leave them with him. No lounge to sit in when the weather was poor . Not sure how this could be remedied. Not a lot of personal interaction during our 10 day stay other than with the guy on Reception and Roberto in the bar . A lengthy yet honest review with some suggestions for improvement for such a new hotel . Probably better suited to a certain demographic.

Parrots and Central Park heaving with people short of tables.. But no one at Alento. Try adding some atmosphere to outdoor drinking.... It's like a black hole. Some lighting under the parasols? Less formality? Some items in the tables. Easy to fix at minimal cost

Great location, been coming for years. However nothing has changed in that time. The flooring is exhausted and in need of repair. New paint wouldn't hurt either. There is massive construction on one side, will be going on for some time I imagine. The music in the lobby is a tad loud but I suspect they could turn it down if asked. And really we're past the days of having a TV, mini-fridges and wall-mounted hairdryers.

The staff is wonderful. They make you feel like your returning home! The Location is amazing - right in the heart of Sitges. Directly across from bars - restaurants - a block from all the beaches. Perfect Location. I will return often. THANK YOU for your hospitality and kindness!

Fuimos a pasar una noche y nos dimos cuenta que la manta del cubre cama era reutilizada ya había sido utilizada por otro cliente, los vasos están sucios y las cafeteras también tienen café pegado y ni si quiera habían repuesto el café. Las toallas tienes restos de suciedad de la pica y he visto una chica de la limpieza que me parece que era de fuera limpiando unos cristales con las fundas de las almohadas. Me encontré la papelera del water sin bolsa y la escobilla encima del water. El jacuzzi con restos de suciedad y polvo. Por lo demás todo bien. Pero la limpieza y la organización de la habitación un desastre. No lo recomiendo
