Castello Boutique Resort & Spa - Adults Only

I have stayed at quite a few Tui hotels and this is definitely not a 5 star hotel. Our summary: Location - located in Sissi which is a lovely small village, everyone is friendly and there are lots of cats that everyone in the village look after and feed. Please note that there is a beautiful church next to it however it wasn’t so beautiful when the bells rang at 7am and 8am Sunday morning and from our room you could hear the service. Decor - the hotel looks beautiful and is small which appeals to us. The bedroom was perfectly fine but the bathroom is dated and the shower had mould around it. Plenty of sun loungers. Staff- very friendly and the frustrations below were not their fault more the chefs. Accessibility - if you are permanently in a wheelchair you would struggle as there were 3 steps up to the bedrooms on our floor and not sure if that’s the same on other areas. Aside from that everything else was accessible. Food - without doubt the worst buffet I have ever experienced. I informed the hotel that I had dietary restrictions and was told that was all fine. To be fair for breakfast and lunch they catered for me but dinner was always difficult as nearly every option had cheese or cream etc or was a processed option that didn’t appeal. It was lacking in fresh natural food. I had to wait ages for gluten free pasta that everyone else had eaten their main food and were on dessert. No urgency and I usually had to chase it. The others in my party did not enjoy the buffet food either - it just wasn’t good quality, limited choice and more like three stars so very disappointing. I felt like I barely ate much. Entertainment- pretty nonexistent aside from one night. We took games with and there are good size tables for playing cards etc Definitely won’t be returning but we did have a lovely time together and we enjoyed Sissi.

What a lovely hotel. When the infinity pool is finished and opened it will be spectacular! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a sea view pool room, and which was beautiful, shame the sun didn’t reach out room til about 3pm but I guess that’s time of year, The staff were all lovely. It was a great hotel, but what let it down was the food. Breakfast was ok, but evening meal was pretty poor and we ended up eating out. It didn’t spoil our time there, we would only go B&B in future. The food is why I only gave it 4 stars because everything else was absolutely perfect. Would definitely return. Cannot wait to come back once the infinity pool opens!

Amazing hotel. We are in a swim up room, and it has been perfect. Few niggles with the room as I think we are the first ever guests to stay in it, however they were all sorted out quickly. The service is excellent, the staff are all very friendly. We are here on a bed and breakfast tariff, and the breakfast has been great. I wouldn't bother with evening meals or lunch, there are so many nice tavernas around that do fantastic food, as tourists we need to keep them in business.

We’ve just returned from a two week stay. Amazing hotel for cleanliness and really comfortable beds, good size rooms that are well equipped, although our shower was a little snug. But not all the rooms had such a small shower. But pressure and temperature good so done what it needed to, someone larger may have struggled to shower and keep the door closed. lol. On entertainment nights the quality was really good. Sun beds plentiful and comfortable. Amazing choice for breakfast and you can ask for other options. IE different types of egg. Or tea, coffee. The only negative for us was that the temperature of the evening meal wasn’t good unless you were eating fresh from the barbecue. Not the fault of the staff. Lunch time offerings plentiful and really good value for money. The staff currently at this hotel are the best. From receptionist Foteini, Christina and Aphrodite just to name a few.( the Kitkat trio) Andy is a really nice guy and a great barman, with Uncle Sam also on the bar, there just perfect. PS Sam is also a renowned performer. And may treat you to a performance. Amazing. Anna, Maria and her Sister Spyla are simply beautiful people that go above and beyond and make you feel so welcome, always greet everyone with a smile. Sorry for not mentioning everyone on the team, you’re all fantastic. Mr Fransi is an excellent food and beverage manager and always willing to assist. Overall we had a fantastic time at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday experience. A big thank you to everyone that made our stay so memorable.
