If you have any mobility issues at all do not stay at this hotel, there are dark wooden stairways with no handrails. There are no handrails on any of the exterior steps or paths. Stairways poorly lit and hard to see the dark wooden stairs. My first room was accessed only by a steep walkway with uneven paving stones up a long, crazy paved roadway, I asked for a room closer to the reception but this too had steep, uneven paths and lots of dimly lit stairs with no handrails. There was no phone to call reception in my room, so when I had issues with amenities, I then had to climb down the stairs to seek help. The room was shabby and in need of renovation, shower recess had no lighting of its own, the walls appeared to be damp in parts. The hotel is old and looking worse for wear. The hotel is some distance from the town down a steep winding road, so without transport , it would be difficult to explore the area. There is no nearby amenities one can access easily. It is quite isolated. You may like this aspect but as a tourist, I did not enjoy this. There was no tv in my room, no flat screens on windows, no bar fridge. There was a communal kitchen but a long way from my room. I did not find the staff very approachable. My advice is to stay somewhere in town, if you can,
