La Vista Hotel

This little gem of a place was outstanding. We loved how it was up on the hill as the views were gorgeous. We really liked that La Vista was small and quaint as there were less people and the units were laid out to give a lot of privacy for all the guests. It was incredibly peaceful and we loved having breakfast on the balcony each morning. The unit was spacious and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The resort was located nearby restaurants that you could easily walk to. The staff were wonderful and helpful as well. We didn't mind that it wasn't directly on the beach as we were able to explore the island and try out a variety of other beaches and see more of the island. We would definitely come back to La Vista!

This hilltop hotel has beautiful views, lovely accommodations, sparkling pool and a great restaurant. Kind and attentive staff, spotless rooms and hot water. A short walk or two minute taxi drive outside of the bustle of town. Perfect oasis. What more could you ask for on your island vacation.

A fantastic hideout along the Caribbean. It is almost an oasis of calm in the middle of the lively Simpson Bay area, with a few small and quiet beaches to choose from, and a variety of big ones to choose from nearby. It leads to a special feel of a boutique hotel, with amenities of a large resort at hand. Service is friendly and helpful. Though all amenities at hand for all, prefer the seaside part for optimal feel of all above. Hideaway restaurant is a gem lf itself, just would want this to be open more. Keep up this feel!

We stayed at La Vista for one week and our family had rooms 101 and 102 facing the beachfront. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this resort for anyone looking to stay in Simpson Bay. • Checkin was prompt and we were provided friendly service all week. • Orientation was on Sunday at 5pm with free pizza, rum and coke. • Location of suites were perfect on the ground floor with easy access to the pool and loungers. Each of the ground floor rooms had a patio set with table and 4 chairs, and one lounger. • Our room (102) was clean, spacious, and rather dated. There were 2 bedrooms – one with king size bed and another with 2 twin beds. Kitchen was fully stocked with cooking and eating utensils, coffee machine, toaster. Room (101) was a studio suite and the condition was same as our room. • We didn’t get a good nights sleep all week since the air conditioner and the fan in the room was loud and made noises all night • Wi-fi was free which was awesome and was available only during the daytime. • Peli Deli Supermarket was walking distance • We stayed during low season so the resort wasn't fully occupied. We generally had the pool to ourselves. Beachfront view was amazing. • Security at night - we always saw the guard walking around the resort • Cleaning personnel came in everyday to take out the garbage but only changed the sheets once mid-week • We recommend Buccaneer Beach Bar which is walking distance for happy hour drinks, BBQ ribs and ceasar salad. We mainly drove to Grand Case for our meals and recommend Sunset Cafe for their amazing views and food. • Free parking and we were able to park right next to our room

Definitely a hidden gem. I was pleasantly surprised. Wonderful place to stay. Great staff. Great food. Great location. Great value! My son and I had a one bedroom apartment. The room was very well kept and quiet. A full kitchen with all the kitchen amenities you need. I can’t wait to stay again. This might be my go to spot on the island. I like that it’s kinda “in the cut”. I had a car so I could explore other areas. Parking was free and abundant at the resort. We never had an issue getting a spot. We tried 10 different restaurants nearby. The Hideaway (onsite), Juliette’s Bistro (a short walk down the hill), Johnny B’s and Jax Steakhouse stood out the most to me. Jax is in Maho village and Johnny B’s was on the main road (Welfare Road I think) so you’d need a car or taxi. Please be advised that the property sits atop a hill so if you have mobility issues you may not want to stay here. Otherwise, Book it!!

Really nice hotel, rooms we clean and modern and it was great to have a kitchen. It is at the top of a really big hill. There are no beaches attached, you will need to go down the hill to the other hotels and use the beach. The beaches are open to everyone, but not hotel beach chairs and loungers. Many restaurants in the area going down the hill and when you reach to bottom of the hill to the main road. If you are up for a food walk this is the place for you. RENT A CAR, it is the best way to see the island you can beach in the morning and drive around in the afternoon ,renting is very reasonably priced. There are shuttle services, but they are limited. We did not eat at the restaurant so I can't give a review. Overall really nice place to stay, I would go back.
