Divi Little Bay Beach Resort, St Maarten After reading the 3* reviews on this resort, I was very pleasantly surprised. Pros: Check-in was efficient. Our ground-floor Beachfront room was ready when we arrived fully renovated and attractive and exactly as advertised: right on the beach, with a walk-out balcony and very comfortable pillow-topped beds. Bedding was changed and room cleaned every other day. There were no signs of any insects even though we were on the ground floor. In fact we never saw or heard a mosquito the whole time we were there! Our room in H3 was handy to the snorkelling, the café and the little stores. The snorkelling was good and quite close to shore but, after a windy-wavy day, the water unfortunately became murky. The resort was beautiful and kept very clean. It was the prettiest place on the Island and its location between two bodies of water supplied constant cooling breezes. The pools were amazing, the sandy beach great for “riding” the waves. There was an ample supply of beach chairs and we met only one vendor for massages who respected our “no” and moved on. I saw one stray dog but no fouling of the paths or beaches. We did not have the all-inclusive package but found the food at Amsterdam Café, SeaBreeze Café, Gizmo’s and Gingerbread (at the resort next door) to be excellent. We shall always remember the staff who were welcoming, helpful and pleasant. Tony the “funologist” was great but then so were the ladies at the Amsterdam Café, the chefs at Gizmo’s, Aqua Mania staff, the front desk staff and Tina in particular. Cons: Our one big disappointment was with the Concierge department. We had a booked and paid for a day trip of the Island but somehow our names were never put in the book and the tour company had not been informed. We waited to be picked up. When no one came, we checked with the Concierge desk and were informed that our names were not in the book and then, when we tried getting a refund on our credit card, we were asked to take a seat and kept waiting some more. They appeared reluctant to refund us. We ended up paying quite a bit more for a shorter tour by private taxi. Other issues: Beach Towels were hard to get at the Concierge desk but usually available at Aqua Mania. I would suggest bringing your own so as to avoid this hassle. As many reviews had said, the sliding balcony door did not lock but it was equipped with a security bar. The toilet had a very small tank which every so often did not have enough flow to flush properly. The AC dripped on us as we stood under it to get stuff in the fridge or safe. On the final day it dripped so much that we had to use our bath towels to soak up the puddling to prevent slipping. The resort caters to all ages: There is a special room for day-time craft activities for children but we only heard of tie-dying during the week we were there. While we were there, a wedding was performed on the beach and an engagement party was held at Seabreeze. If you want big ni
