Royal Hostel

Location is pretty strategic, located on the entrance of Chinatown MRT exit A. They have 2 buildings on the left and right of MRT entrance. But you won't have any trouble at all to look for it since the sign board is clearly seen from the MRT entrance. The reception area is on the left side building (more spacious and feels homey rather than the building I stayed). I stayed in the ladies only room (#4) on the right side building. So, if I need something or ask the staff, I have to go to the other building. The room, bed, linen are clean but they don't provide towel & toiletries. So you have to bring your own. And don't forget to bring padlock for your locker (big enough for 20-inches suitcase). Air conditioners in my room were working well and it's cooler because helped with 2 fans. The toilets are relatively smaller than the other building, but that's okay for me (hot water, tissue are provided). You can use the fridge, hair dryer, water, electric water jug, iron, outdoor patio together with other guests. The staffs are nice, friendly and helpful. Because it's Chinese New Year time, they even offer me home made yu sheng. Pretty nice flavor and experience. Overall, it was great experience staying in royal hostel.

Hostel location is really good, chinese new year incoming which brilliant to stay at.

Female dorm~ The bunk bed is ok, comfy n has a locker at the side (w/out locks). The guests were ok too. Don't allow early check-in but the staff were nice enough to let me leave my luggage there while I went out for lunch to wait for the check in. Toilet is very small, does not have shampoo or soap, smells funky.

There are very nice small BOUTIQUE HOSTEL for backpacker tourist very clean and tidy, It is very good location on MRT CHINA TOWN STATION and market road.

Good location in Chinatown, but check in is difficult to find (doorway hidden away with poor signage). Very close to the metro stop. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. 4 bed and 6 bed are connected with no door so it's basically just a 10 bed dorm which is poor. Also, no curtains on bunks.

the location is great but we got a two people bedroom and it has no door so no point on paying extra for private room

Staff was friendly and quick in response. location was good however its next to the station so expect the space to be very noisy at night. Shared bathroom so I wasn't impressed with the cleanliness as someone used it but I guess that person was drunk when using it. Not a pleasant scene to see in the morning.
