The Cotton Mill Cottage is a newly renovated Mill House that offers the comfort and amenities of home located only 0.4 miles from downtown Simpsonville’s vibrant dining, shopping, and entertainment scene. Downtown Greenville is 15 miles away (approximately a 20-25 minute drive or rideshare via 385).The living area offers two large sofas, a smart TV, ottomans, throw blankets, and tables to maximize entertainment options. Adjacent to the seating area is a designated work space, including a desk, chair, and lamp.The full kitchen is stocked with essentials, including a coffee maker, individual coffee pods, salt, pepper, and olive oil.The first bedroom offers a king bed, smart TV and full-sized mirror. The spacious ensuite bathroom boasts a walk-in shower with traditional and rains shower heads. The recently renovated second floor suite was converted from the attic space of an original Mill House. This area of the home includes one bedroom with a smart TV, one full bathroom, and a separate seating area with ample amenities for your stay. However, in order to access the second bedroom suite, you must use the spiral staircase. While we are confident the upstairs space is well appointed for your stay, please be mindful that there are some sloped ceiling-areas throughout the outside perimeter of the second floor due to the nature of the home’s original layout. The washer and dryer are located in the half bathroom on the main floor. Laundry detergent and dryer sheets are available for your convenience. Adjacent to the laundry room is a mudroom space that opens to the back deck.Guests may park in the driveway on the premises. Due to the slope at the top of the driveway and position of the city sidewalk, it may be more challenging for low profile vehicles to enter and exit. Street parking is also available as an option in front of the home. Street parking is free. The home boasts a large front porch with four rocking chairs. There is a spacious deck on the rear of the home, which overlooks the large backyard. This space is the center of the home where many of the other rooms trickle back into.-Living Room-To the right of the front door off of the foyer, you'll find the living room perfect for chatting with those you love in front of a (not in use) fireplace. It includes a sectional sofa, 2 armchairs, a side table, a dog bed and a Smart TV (no cable, guests login to their own streaming services).-Primary Bedroom-Immediately to the left of the entry foyer, is the primary Bedroom. You will find a king sized bed, two nightstands, a desk housing a computer monitor and router and a sofa in the corner to have your morning coffee.Directly off of the master bedroom is a connecting door bringing you into the-Queen Room-There are two entrances into this queen room; one off of the master bedroom and one connecting the entry foyer. In this room, you will find a queen size bed, 2 nightstands, and a mirror to get ready with.Off of this bedroom there is also an entrance into the-Second Queen Room-This room has two entrances; one coming directly from the neighboring queen room and one coming in from the bathroom. In this second queen room, you will find a queen sized bed, a night stand, a good sized mirror to get ready with, and a lounge chair.Directly off of this room you will enter into the-Shared Main Bathroom-All three bedrooms share a hall bathroom with tub/shower combination, double vanity, and toilet. This bathroom is also equipped with a washer/dryer unit, iron and ironing board. It is fully stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer and makeup wash cloths. There are two entry ways into this bathroom; one from the second queen bedroom and one from the entry foyer.-Dining Room-As you walk away from the foyer, you will enter into a formal dining room. With seating for 6 guests positioned next to a (not in use) fireplace, you and your loved ones will be able to enjoy a beautiful sit-down meal together. Take a peak into the closet in the dining room and you'll find a plethora of board games to enjoy with the whole family.-Kitchen-Directly off the dining room you will enter into the kitchen. As you enter into the kitchen, you’ll find a section of the counter top fully equipped with a coffee station. You will find that the space is equipped with a stovetop, oven, and microwave. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, glasses, spices, oil, salt, pepper, and much more to make cooking a breeze.Out of the kitchen is the back door leading you into the-Outdoor Space-Right off of the kitchen is a small back porch housing a gas grill. You can exit this small porch and be greeted by your cars OR take a right, and walk into the lot to find a stone fire pit surrounded by 5 chairs and towered over by gorgeous long-standing trees. Off of the dining room area, you can enter into the screened in portion of the outdoor area. Take a load off in the outdoor seating area and share a sweet tea or a glass of wine.We could not describe the outdoor space without once again highlighting the front "stoop." We feel this spot captures the essence of the entire home; classic and relaxing. You'll find entry way plants and two chairs to watch the cars as they pass by.We cannot wait to welcome you to The Southern Stoop!We are located in a residential area off of a main road near Main Street, SimpsonvillePublic transportation is still not readily available in Simpsonville, so we recommend that our guests bring or rent a car.
