Hotel in zona Silves Castle, Silves

While there's no denying that the hotel is dated and some refurbishment would be welcome, all the essential elements were there. We slept well in a firm but comfy bed, WiFi was fast and reliable, Aircon efficient and the old fashioned looking shower was surprisingly fast and hot 👌 We only stayed for one night for a night out in Silves - a great little town with loads to explore and plenty of good restaurants and cafes - and we had a room with a huge terrace with a fabulous view of the town and castle. There is a good sized pool (plus kids pool) in a nice garden area, well sited to get full sun well into the afternoon. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would be happy to come again.

Benvenuto. Solo un piccolo bemol, su Trip avevamo riversato un appartamento di 50m2 quadrato, ma una volta arrivato all’hotel ci siamo trovati in una camera semplice. Diciamo che il fatto di’ avere una piscina privata per le camere semplici a compensare questo disagio. Altrimenti un hotel magnifico con un ambiente meraviglioso.

Just came back from this hotel we stayed for 3 nights and it was great. We were lucky and got warmer than usual weather for this time of the year but air conditioning all around hotel and rooms was great. Large outdoor pool and small jacuzzi beside it, also an indoor pool and hottub. The water in the pool was bloody freezing but was still great, has a swim up bar which serves great cocktails and meals, can sometimes be a bit of a wait but cocktails are all made from scratch not from a machine and the food served is lovely and fresh and made to order. Some items and cocktails are more on the pricier side so buying drinks from the local supermarket is ideal. Breakfast in the morning was consistently brilliant, so much selection of fruits, pastries, and hot foods as well as cereals and the hot drinks from the machines are surprisingly very nice. Rooms are slightly dated but not an issue at all, very clean and comfortable with a large balcony. Although the hotel and staff are great theres a few small issues but not anything major and wouldn’t put us off going back. The hairdryers being the main issue. Probably the worst hotel hairdryer i have ever witnessed so BRING YOUR OWN HAIRDRYER and thank me later. The beds could do with being replaced as very very creaky but the mattress pillows duvet comfortable and clean. The minimarket up the hill from hotel is expensive so walk into the town and go to bom dia supermercado for much cheaper water, snacks etc. The area has loads of bars shops and restaurants to choose from, a lovely beach in the area and the views are great. This hotel is at the top of a very steep street so if you have mobility issues this may not be ideal unless you are willing to get a taxi to the top every night as the footpaths are also cobbled and tend to be blocked by cars. If you want to go elsewhere for a night, an uber into Albufeira will cost between 18-25€ per way but the drive is over half an hour so in my opinion a very fair price. All in all a great hotel in a lovely area and would definitely recommend!

From engaging activities for children to family-friendly dining options, every aspect of our stay was tailored to our needs. The hotel even offered serene spaces for parents to relax while keeping an eye on their little ones, striking the perfect balance between tranquility and family-friendly amenities. Furthermore, the attentive and friendly staff added to the overall sense of relaxation. They were always on hand to offer assistance or provide recommendations, and their warm and genuine hospitality made us feel like valued guests. Beyond the hotel itself, the surrounding area offered plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities and exploration. We took advantage of the hotel's proximity to nature, embarking on leisurely walks and hikes that allowed us to connect with the peaceful surroundings. It was the ideal way to escape the hustle and bustle of the work world and reconnect with nature.

Booked a 3-night twin room to attend a friend's lecture in Lagoa. The hotel, or better, motel is excellent for those on wheels, not for those on foot. If you have disabilities find another town in the Algarve. Some sets of stairs do not have rails, you have to go round the entrance to physically 'get in'. The reception has only 1 staff member when off-season, be prepared and do it all online. Forget questions about taxis, transportation, and restaurant advice is really subjective. The room was very comfortable, the second door to a set of stairs (curled) with direct access to the car park/entry of the hotel area was not. Cold and humidity pass through the doors (front door leading to corridor inside as well), as doors need maintenance. Breakfast is good and varied, for all tastes, except gluten-free options. Internet signal very weak, had to use phone data package. Check-in is only at 4pm. Pro's. besides what I already mentioned: bus terminal 5 min walk, good restaurants each way 5 min walk (one is just next door), supermarket passing the roundabout, beds very comfortable. You can walk to the centre (10 min walk) but the town is without interest, unless you are there for an event, for those on foot, you can stay here and get to know other nearby cities in the Algarve by bus, as the terminal is so close, and it is not expensive to go around by bus.

Sono tornato a questo hotel dopo aver visitato l'anno scorso – a quel momento la mia recensione ha detto: ”Credo che non ho mai soggiornato in un hotel che ha consegnato così bene alle mie aspettative”. Tuttavia, anche se la posizione è ancora perfetta, la piscina è un'oasi di calma, il personale super attento e le camere eleganti e pulite, alcuni aspetti sono cambiati per il peggio, da quando ero l'ultima qui. In primo luogo, il colazione che, l'anno scorso, era un trionfo blu cordon è ora un accordo piuttosto inspiegabile buffet – dove in passato ci erano articoli di colazione cucinati freschi per ordinare, tra cui uova Bennedict, omelete, bacon e salsicce fumate e una vasta scelta di frutta fresca, carne fredda e formaggio. In secondo luogo, le famiglie (con bambini giovani) provenienti da villaggi «esclusivi» vicini sono ora invitate a condividere il servizio di colazione – di tanto in tanto sconvolgendo il calmo e negando la richiesta «Adults Only» – su TA e altri siti di prenotazione. La parola sulla strada è che questo hotel unico sarà presto sostituito da un Marriott – che, in sé, è un peccato – ma sarebbe stato buono se le norme precedenti avessero potuto essere mantenute fino a quel momento. Questo hotel è ancora bello e il personale sorprendente ma – a quelli di noi fortunati a aver visitato prima – it’s just not the same Palmares Beach House hotel.

Staff 5* Comida era otima e com bastante variedade. Quartos eram grandes, com todas as comodidades. Os colchoes a unica coisa que mudava. Era notória a prioridade á limpeza tanto aos quartos como a todo o hotel sempre tudo limpo e arrumado mesmo com muitos hóspedes , estao de parabens. Spa (custo 25 euros por pessoa mas dos melhores que ja usei) . Piscina da cascata muito boa. Piscina coberta muito boa tambem mas a precisar de alguma manutençao na cobertura. O kids club é fantastico com staff maravilhoso em especial a Sandra que fez, com que as minhas crianças nao quisessem sair de lá. Parabens a toda a equipa Vou voltar sem duvida brevemente.

We arrived at this hotel in early afternoon however our room was not ready,the kind receptionist notified us that we can be contacted by WhatsApp when it would be ready and to go and enjoy the facilities.what a beautiful place,very well kept Gardens,and pristine pool area with ample sunbeds any time of day.the room was spotless clean with an exceptionally comfortable bed.the balcony offered sun later in the day which was nice whilst relaxing with a drink.the housekeeping staff work very hard to keep rooms in pristine condition and are always smiling regardless of their hard jobs. The reception staff were always happy to help at anytime of day and were particularly knowledgeable on the surrounding area.the only hiccup I can confirm is that the evening meals and service at the hotel need attention.i could tell from the outset that the hotel was short of staff during these times,everyone was rushing around back and forwards trying their best to meet dinner and bar orders. Unfortunately as a result of this, the food quality suffered as you could tell there was no love from the kitchen in your food and the restaurant manager was simply stressed out! Fix this staffing problem and the chefs way of serving food to guests and you have a great hotel with very good prospects.
