Totally enjoyed our 4 night stay at the end of March. The lodge had a great vibe and the grounds were amazing to take hikes or just relax with coffee on the porch. The included breakfast was a hit and we enjoyed the variety of food each morning. We stayed in the room called “Cabeza De Vaca”, a large room with balcony which was comfortable and generous for our stay. The nearby town of Silver City was eclectic and fun….we enjoyed visiting the museums and nearby restaurants. The staff was available for anything we needed and the breakfast servers were attentive and congenial. Exactly what we had hoped this place would be and highly recommended. Ps: we accidentally left sunglasses in the room upon departure and the Lodge arranged to have them mailed back to us in Texas…this speaks to their caring nature. Look no further if desiring a quiet getaway from major tourist areas.

My sister and I spent a delightful overnight at the Lodge. The wine pairing featured some excellent wines and the dinner that accompanied it was superb! Our breakfast the next morning was very good and we then went on a lovely walk around the extensive property. Excellent getaway!

If you want a place to get away from it all, this is the place. No televisions in the rooms and no phones (unless you bring your own). The staff are absolutely welcoming and very nice. The food at the restaurant was amazing and cooked based on how many people reserve a spot. It's like staying at an art museum, with so much art from local artists. We will definitely be going back.

This was just a short visit as I had to bring something to Silver City for an upcoming art show but, as usual, Bear Mountain Lodge did not disappoint. The impeccably kept lodge, rooms and grounds always comfort, sooth and refresh. The food was delicious as usual, the staff friendly and attentive as I have come to expect. Before my dinner, I ran the trails around the grounds, sprinkled on by brief but refreshing showers and arrived back at the lodge relaxed and ready to dine on the patio surrounded by grounds brightened by the rain. A good night of sleep and then a breakfast served very early by an eager to please staff. If you haven’t been to Bear Mountain Lodge, do yourself a favor and make time. You won’t regret it.

My wife and I had the good fortune of staying at the Bear Mountain Lodge during our recent visit to the Silver City area. The lodge was a major factor in making our visit positive and memorable. This historic building has been immaculately maintained and furnished. Our room was spacious and comfortable, while its private balcony provided a perfect perch from which to take in the scenic surroundings. Members of the staff were friendly and helpful. The included breakfasts provided each day were delicious. We rate Bear Mountain Lodge among the top 10% of places we have stayed in more than a half century of travel.

I'd been wanting to come to Bear Mountain Lodge for many years, so I finally got my chance on a recent Southwest roadtrip with my sister. We we got such restful sleep and the 7 deer outside our cabin were a special treat to watch. The breakfasts were divine and the dinner was a special night for us. It felt like going on a retreat! A bonus was seeing all the art made by artists in the region.

Wonderful spot top get away from it all. The innkeepers were attentive and social, they are doing a great job of keeping the grounds evolving and in synch with nature. The beds and baths were comfortable, the breakfasts were amazing, and hiking the ground was an added benefit. We will return!

A beautiful lodge and scenery, with friendly and knowledgeable staff. We had two delicious breakfasts, one packed lunch for a day excursion with Miriam, our excellent guide to the Gila Cliff Dwellings, and one delicious dinner. The lodge grounds had unique sculptures in various places. Inside the lodge, there was very nice artwork and sculptures as well. If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway with beautiful surroundings inside and out, this is the place for you.

A medical issue raised its head when I checked in. The care and support I received went well beyond any call of duty. The place is beautiful, curated with quality art throughout. The room was like a luxurious home with a balcony over looking a vast expanse of nature. The breakfast was delectable. But above all of this, in the words of AmEx commercials — the sense of security and care was priceless. Such good good people. My deepest gratitude.
