Bamboo Jam

I have booked by Trip.com and already paid 166 $ per 2 nights and when I arrived there in The Bamboo Jam the new owner told me that they cannot receive my payment because the hotel was sold and I need to pay again to the new owner now. There is no place to stay on 24/12 and I paid again for 2 nights to the new owner and I request for Trip.com my refund bcz they sold the hotel, and Trip.com didn’t accept my request of refund and I lost 166$. When you booking Bamboo Jam be carful. Don’t book by trip.com

It is difficult to make a real rating scorer - but read the review! We arrived in windy weather therefore - We were dropped off at another pier far from Bamboo jam - Vicki and staff were ready and picked us up with a "transport". We are a family of 4 and they didn't think the children should go with the luggage - we really appreciate good and unexpected service. On arrival at the beach bungalow, we were very disappointed with the standard! Worn, leaking, with many faults and defects 1. In the evening there were cockroaches and other insects in the bathroom. We immediately got an insect spray available. On the 1st morning, we pointed out several errors and that we did not think that the standard lived up to the price in any way! All the staff are nice and understanding - all our pointed out details are continuously corrected and fixed. New railing on the balcony, the faucet in the bathroom was fixed, a defective hammock was replaced, etc. We asked for a discount on the price - it is not accepted after the staff did contact the "boss" - however we are offered a bottle of wine and a "discount" when we eat at their restaurant - which must be said is very very good. All the staff are really nice and helpful. It is free to fill up the water tank. We stayed here for 6 nights over Christmas 2023! There was a constant wind coming in from the beach - so violent that it was not possible to enjoy the beautiful outdoor areas at this place, no yoga, no movie night. But always a pleasant and positive atmosphere. We are now informed that there is often wind on this beach in December. Every day we went to beaches on the opposite side of the island - where there was shelter, it's an easy 30-40 minute walk. We wish all the staff all the best - but hope that the "boss" (who is not present himself!) will lower the price by at least 2/3 as this "beach bungalow" for 4 people is not 180 UDS per night!!!

Super nice and cute bungalows, with your private beach, hammock and table in the sand, just 5 steps away. All the staff welcomed me with a smile. And I enjoyed it to talk to them during my (Single-)Lunch, bruch whatever!!! The Rooms get cleaned every day, and they do it great. Ema, the owner, is very considered to keep everything clean, especially food, water and ice. So at their restaurant you can be sure that you only will get good stuff. (You can't say that from the other restaurants at the beach, some of them are very dirty and the ice for the drinks, I think, is normally for the refrigerator, but not for drinking) So, all in all it was the perfect choice(not only because 3 min walk away from piere) I would sure come back to this place and Ema. I think 4 Stars is the best rating I can give to the bungalows (service 5, and location 5,) Because I want to keep star Nr. 5 for the 4+5 star hotels to be fair! You will not disappointed to visit Bamboo Jam, that's for sure Greeting Tom
