Phum Khmer Lodge - Village Cambodian Eco-Lodge

Absolutely faultless hospitality. The Lodge not only exemplifies pride in Khmer architecture in having the houses constructed from recycled wood from traditional houses in the varying provinces, but shows a respect for preserving the country’s culture. All the staff were kind, genuinely caring and invested in their guests comfort and satisfaction. Mr. Sona organized a three day tour of the Angkor Temple Complex, Kulen Mountain and Tonle Sap with diligence and was always on hand to ensure everything went smoothly and to our wishes. My husband was also treated treated to a surprise birthday treat and serenaded by the staff - truly touching. The gardens are beautiful, the upkeep meticulous, the food was tasty and the atmosphere pure relaxation. The lodges are tastefully decorated, spacious and provided a welcome respite after a full day tour in the heat. We would definitely return. Thank you to the whole team for being our hotel highlight in Cambodia.

We stayed for 3 days as a family with kids and it was superb! The rooms are perfect as the bathrooms. Cleanliness, comfort and usability, all great. The staff is amazing, super friendly and always of help. Especially the restaurant is so good, you almost don’t have the need to go to eat out. This hotel and staff is a true hidden gem!!! If we come back, we sure stay here again! Thank you to everyone and many blessings!

Amazingly quiet and green in the midst of the busy city. A 30 min walk and 5 min tuktuk ride to the night market and central locations, 15/20 min tuktuk ride to Angkor Wat. It's super easy to get around. Everyone in the staff goes the extra mile - smiling, kind, attentive and super helpful. Breakfast is perfect, you can stay a week and try something different and delicious every day. I used the restaurant a couple of times for lunch/dinner, it's a little pricier than average meal in SR (around $4/5 for starter, $7/8 for dish) but it's fresh and super tasty (the amok was very good). The pool is not huge especially if there are children around but the area is perfect to relax after walking around the gorgeous temples. The lodges are built on the model of the owner's childhood village in the Siem Reap area so has a very homey feel. Overall I had an amazing stay and would definitely recommend for a solo or couple trip (or family as some of the lodges are pretty spacious).

The lodge is not exactly as shown by some reviews. The place is run by very friendly and helpful stave and management who are lovely. The breakfast was nice and as expected. However, on arrival after a drive, flight and drive all delayed we found that not only was there no food but the bar was closed as well despite us traveling in a group of 8. The advertising photography is excellent but reality it is not a “luxury experience” and the cabins were hot and populated with mosquitoes and the A/c cooling did not kick in until early hours of the morning being small for the size of accommodation. A “rustic” experience would be more accurate as one of our party was awake all night worrying about the cracks in the floor and what would potentially come through. The description of the location as out of town and tranquil I must challenge as the hotel venue was on a fairly busy road and motorbikes and lorry’s woke us up several times after fitful sleep. Music (canned in speakers) from the temple literally next door started at 0530 and transitioned into prayers over the same tannoy system until we departed at about 10. (We were informed that it was a part of a 3 day funeral for which we can’t blame the hotel however the noise was persistent and intrusive. The final point was that when booking the cabin it implied (and the photos supported) that there were 3 separate bedrooms permitting privacy for adults and children - this was not the case with 3 beds in a single room - this venue is NOT suitable for children but for adventurous singles or couples it is an adventure.

Truely authentic and relaxing experience in the heart of siem reap. Beautiful hotel, lovely pool and amazing staff. Would absolutely return here if ever in siem reap again. Good place for kids as well, with a shallow end in the pool, swings next to the restaurant and a little play area as well.

A small boutique hotel organised as a collection of traditional Khmer village houses. It made for a more authentic experience of Siem Reap. Our house was gorgeous and comfortable. The staff were very kind and helpful and did their utmost to ensure we had a wonderful stay - especially our host Sona who was able to effortlessly deal with every situation with a solution and a smile. The hotel is located just at the edge of town which made for a peaceful stay. Getting into town was an enjoyable 3 minute tuk tuk ride thoughtfully provided for free by the hotel. Definitely recommended!
