Room was very comfortable with ceiling at 35ft high. Double bed, small tv, trouble-free wifi, geyser, western commode w/bidet. Needed to use provided blankets in the month of May. The place is ideal for top executive + family, seeking a safe, basic (not overluxurious) , calm union with nature. The gardens around the rooms are quite amazing. The place is comfortable for 2 families and has a small kids play area right next to the cottage.The pure Kodava/Coorgi food style ***** with others is available for dinner. Breakfast Coorgi/Continental, South Indian, Indian was inclusive. Car parking is available. The Management is strong and helpful. Lunch is generally not provided as tourists are out to sightsee around the Elephant camps, temples. Malayali food like parathas etc may be available at the central bus stand which is 10 minutes by walk ***** the Mysore Siddapur road adjoining the place. Basic shops of good standard also there. Five to ten taxis available there at the stand too for day hire but will charge at tourist rates! Can be reached from Bangalore/Mysore by KSRTC Volvo to Gonikoppa/Virajpet and then taxi/auto at Rs1000/Rs400. We reached Gonikoppa at lunchtime and had "ready lunch plate" coorgi style at Pattus Lunch Home (1130am to 1530pm) at Gonikoppa on the bypass road for a very reasonable charge. Return possible by Volvo from Virajpet(preferred)/ or Gonikoppa). KSRTC service was decent but Bangalore was 7 -1/2 hours.

Raksh Cottage is located in a marvellous hill station in the southern part of Karnataka, Coorg. It is at a distance of 109 km from Mysore Airport, 95 km from Mysore Railway Station and 29 km from Madikeri Bus Stand.
The property has clean an comfortable rooms with all the required amenities. The hotel provides facilities like taxi services, indoor sports, trekking, river rafting, fishing, outdoor activities, travel assistance and bonfire for an adventurous evening. Hotel has fully equipped kitchen serving wholesome, delicious vegetarian and non-vegetarian Coorg cuisine.
Standard size bed, Living area, shower, western toilet, fresh pillow case and linen for every guest, Well maintained and clean rooms, seating area, dressing table and wardrobe, Hot/Cold water running, ceiling fan and nicely lit room. November to May are the ideal months to visit Coorg when the weather is pleasant. The South-West monsoon sets over the hills in June and the monsoon lasts for three to four months.
Located amidst imposing mountains in Karnataka with a perpetually misty landscape, Coorg is the place to be for all nature lovers.
