Really gutted as I have had an amazing experience with Premier inn in the past. Room 126, constant buzzing all evening above the door. I wear ear plugs so managed it, but frustrating. Sadly went home and the following day started itching to find 40+ bites all over my body. Devastated as I've had to treat my car and clothing to ensure nothing has transferred.

Hotel is awkward to get to due to extensive construction works ongoing , car park is tight and limited . I wanted to like this hotel as the location is great but it was freezing cold throughout even with the temperature set at the max in room it was still uncomfortably cold . Service in the restaurant is slow and frustrating , wifi was ooor there is no choice but to upgrade to the faster pay version to get anything done - if you are staying on business be aware ! To be honest the entire stay was uncomfortable- won’t be returning and would not recommend

Not the premier inn experience we normally get, the hotel in Shrewsbury is really close to the train station, so was the obvious choice for us. We booked in at 15.00,on Monday the 10th, we went up to our room on the 4th floor, straight away we could feel a vibration going through the entire room, we subsequently found out that we were next to a demolition site, and this vibration from next door starts at 08.00 [ no need to set the alarm} and finishes just after 15.00. The following morning after being woken by the vibration, we went down for breakfast, as we entered the restaurant, two couples on the way out spoke to us and said, we hope that you haven't booked the unlimited cooked breakfast, to which we replied, "yes we have", why??, to which they replied there's not much food left, and there's no more coming out !! When we went into the self service area, what we had been told was right, a very sparce selection of food was in front of us, this included the pastries and the cooked breakfast, with several of the containers empty and the rest had very little in them. We felt really sorry for the people coming in after us. Really disappointed with the "LIMITED" breakfast, not value for money. We normally enjoy the breakfasts we have had in other Premier Inns, this was the exception. Sorry that I didn't take photos.

Stayed here on a freezing cold January night. The room was cold when I arrived, I assumed the heating would kick in when I got back in from my meal but I was told the room heating was controlled by reception. They switched it on thankfully, though did me turn they would offer me a heater if it didn't work. The room itself had seen better days and I couldn't wait to check out the next morning. It's really no wonder I don't bother with Premier Inns very often.
