Firstly, the rooms are the same as shown in the pictures. The wooden floorings and lobby decor are lovely. The whole property consists of beautiful decor pieces,(side note- you can have Instagram-worthy pics everywhere on their property). The ambiance is calm and peaceful inside the property. The staff is also very lovely and friendly. But what I didn't like was the food was very expensive, and in the morning buffet there were not that many options which I would have preferred for the price. The services were good but you have to ping them again and again to provide the services. The exact location of this property is not pleasing but the main road and markets are nearby, so that is a good thing. The toiletries were in the bare minimum amount. Overall, for me, the experience at the price that you pay is not completely satisfactory.

This is a simple, clean and quiet place to stay at while at Shillong. The rooms are large enough for a couple. The property is in a quieter part of the town. The staff at the reception, are friendly and efficient. The only area for improvement is breakfast. It is too simple. If they could add some fruit to begin with, it would make a big difference.

Absolutely worth it! We only stayed at the pear tree for one night but wish we could have stayed longer! Even with one night the owner and staff made such an impression. The room is elegant (beautifully furnished) with original hardwood floors and a proper place for your luggage. We needed to arrange a driver to go to the airport, they booked us one right away. If you are coming to Shillong, this is the place to stay. The location is great, the people are incredibly friendly, and breakfast is provided. The taxi driver didn’t know how to get to it at first but the hotel staff happily got on the phone with the driver and we had no problems getting there after that. If you need any suggestions on where to go they also have great knowledge of the area and surrounding areas. We hope to come again.

Hotel bellissimo in mezzo al centro principale di Shilong. Il personale era così utile e professionale. Il cibo era sorprendente e la bocca irrigata. Ho incontrato il direttore dell'hotel che era così fantastico nella soluzione dei nostri problemi. Visiteremo questo hotel nel nostro prossimo viaggio a Shilong. Kudos alla squadra M Crown 👑

We stayed at LadyBird for 3 nights. The best part about this hotel is their staff and the service provided by them. They are ever smiling, ever ready to go that extra mile to help. Sam became very very dear to us during this trip. He is extremely professional and yet very friendly. Very sweet human being. We thank Sam and the team for making us feel at home. Loved the food at this hotel as well.

UUtente ospiteGrande posizione, grande cibo, personale pulito e incredibile. Hanno reso il nostro soggiorno molto comodo e memorabile. Il cibo è davvero magnifico hanno un ristorante puro vegetariano, devono provare la loro cucina indiana speciale dal mahani, aloo dum. La maggior parte dei luoghi consigliati per visitare e rimanere in shilong.

So as soon as enter any property of Taj - the first thing u always feel and say out loud is ”Taj is Taj”.. The hospitality and service at Taj is always unmatched. We stayed at Vivanta Shillong for 2 nights with our family and our stay was beautiful... Right from the rooms to the food at dinner to the breakfast buffet , everything was impeccable. The staff is extremely warm and always go an extra mile to ensure you are well taken care of. Verdy who was at the reception desk was very helpful and gave us lot of options for sight seeing and shopping. Took really good care of us Few of the staff members at dinner time n breakfast were extremely warm and ensured we had a very good meal.. Overall as expected, Taj never fails to please :)

UUtente ospiteWe were a group and we booked the suite. It is a huge room with 1 king bed, 1 queen bed and 1 single bed. 5 people can comfortably stay there and it also has 2 private balconies. The first night was terrible for us as in such a huge room there was just one small wall fan and hence we had to open the windows which resulted in a swarm of mosquitos coming in as it faces the lawn. As it is zostel, there was no service at night and the next morning we raised a complaint to the ***ager. He was the most helpful ***ager I have ever seen. He got everything done within hours and post that our stay was pleasant and so wonderful that we also extended for 2 more nights. The entire staff is very accomodating, good to talk to and soft spoken. The food at the restaurant is delicious and they also cater to individual needs. The only drawback is that they are extremely slow. If the cafe is full, do not expect your order to be served for an hour. Morning breakfast times, we would give the order, go to the room.. have a bath and get ready and still the order would not have been prepared.. Coffees and drinks are given in a jiffy.. But nevertheless, they also catered to serve us at late hours by keeping the food ready for us even after the restaurant shut down. Overall, it is a wonderful stay.. There are some hiccups (which all hostels have unless you opt for a 5 star hotel) but the best part is they listen to your grievances and act immediately. A big kudos to Santosh - without his help, we would have been in a terrible soup.. He definitely deserves a raise.. Thank You Santosh for everything!
