I didn't eat there so I can't comment, my room was clean and warm (it was only 3°C outside). Staff were friendly and accommodating. They also have a 50% discount for the carpark next door.
I have stayed here before and I probably will again.

Good location, small hot rooms, we were on the top floor, the window opened 5 cm, August -UK Summer. The view of my room was literally a brick wall of the other building. It wasn’t a nice experience, but it you want a no frill bed then the hotel delivered but if you want a hotel experience then seek others.
Location of the hotel is near the old Castle market, plenty of homeless and loud people.
Wished I remembered to take a picture of the brick wall outside my window.

I am Benny Mok(the register name is WAI-FU MOK), spent three days there at ROOM 211 from 31/7/2022 to 2/8/2022 in summer & I found that all the facilities in the hotel were superb & I was highly satisfied. The only shortcoming was there was a long weird sound when flushing at the bathroom. There might be some problems in the toilet bowl hose.
Otherwise than that, I highly recommend this hotel cuz all the staff members at the hotel ARE SUPER FRIENDLY, welcoming, cheerful, caring including the housekeeping ladies !
Last but not least, the receptionist ~KARRA RIPPON. karra was the most patient, helpful, amicable , devoted, loving, thoughtful & caring staff member over there & there is no doubt about that! Would you mind sharing this inspiring message with this excellent receptionist and tell her that the inspiring message was from a HONG KONG IMMIGRANT FAMILY ? Many thanks & I owe you one!
Great hotel & Great Staff! Very helpful and provided great hospitality. The staff was Karra, Katherine & Ritta. The room was very clean and the accessibility was good for my needs as I need adaptations due to me being disabled, would recommend staying here.

I stayed at Travelodge Sheffield Central for one night as part of a motorbike trip. I have stayed here before, so I knew what to expect; great price / quality / location. When travelling by motorbike, I appreciate having somewhere to safely park the bike, without having to pay for parking unless absolutely necessary. Having parked in the street on my previous visit (it's free in Sheffield for bikes, and relatively safe for a city), I was expecting to do this same this time. However the staff were so amazingly helpful (Karra, Kristine, Sandra); they let me park in the hotel's private service area, which is behind a locked door. They even helped move bins and other items to make room for me. Fantastic service, I wil definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Sheffield.

Stayed inn this travel lodge due to location and ease of access to centre. Parking next door easy to find a space and pre booked to get reduction in price. Great staff- especially day receptionist Kaira and night receptionist whose name eludes me- sorry! Friendly cheerful service day and night. Clean rooms with tea and coffee provided. Good quality bed linen and thick towels. Can’t fault this hotel and will definitely be back! Thankyou team!

Good location for centre of town, staff were helpful, Maz helped to sort out parking issues and managed to sort out a family room even though the place was fully booked.. Shower not the most powerful and bathroom could use a lick of paint. Overall a success. Would use again

I had an awful experience at the Sheffield Travelodge. The fire alarm went off at around 4:40 AM and continued to go off every five minutes while we were still in our room. My 9-year-old was exhausted for their competition the next day, and when we asked the staff about it, they just brushed it off as a "faulty system." To make matters worse, the window in our room was broken, and the noise from outside was unbearable. The hotel itself felt incredibly outdated and dirty, with a shabby, unkempt interior. It’s clear that maintenance and cleanliness are not a priority here. I would never stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a good night’s sleep or basic comfort. Avoid this place at all costs!

I've arrived very late approximately 21-51pm on the evening of the 13th of February 2025. The staff was very welcoming. Eleanor, Back and Sandra and Kathrine (bosslady) welcomed me with a smile and kindness. I actually go every 3 to 5 weeks due to onebof my children is a vulnerable person in university studying far from home and I check in on their progress so the Lodge has become away from home. I've met all the staff know them all by name. They have become the part of family I handpicked and feel very honoured (corny I know) but anyway (adhd brain lol) I was immediately signed in and being disabled myself got a assesible room and got helped to my room. Sadly at my home I have no heating or hot water and sleeping in a single room on the floor on a mattress with my other disabled minor. But ibhad a wonderful and clean room and bedding. Clean bathroom. Light bulb was out but I don't use overtop lights so didn't notice till the 15th when my daughter tried the lights lol. But I had everything I could need. I also added my breakfast added to extras and wow its always a treat. Well made breakfast and they even cater for vegetarians. There's all kinds of coffees and teas and fresh fruit salads and just plain fruits. Gluten free yogurts and cereals and all milk variations. It's always clean. But now comes my complaint. The staff has to deal with some really rude, rough and racist guests. I feel there should be atleast 1 security/bouncer there at all times. I as a disabled person tried to help but some people are just too rough around the edges. I've seen how some of these were literally 3 inches away from staffs faces calling them some really awful things, threatening them and even one guest spoke to a staff member to her work because her master told her to do so. I'm truly disgusted with this behaviour by other patreons. But then the shock with how professional and respectful the staff still treated these patreons. I feel these staff members don't get paid enough to have to deal with patrons. They need protection. They are jewels that work there. They shouldn't have to deal with patrons that was placed there by the council due to homelessness. The council should know who has mental health concerns and make sure there is a carer at all times available for these patrons. And if there was trained security that is also not just trained in security but mental health training to support the amazing staff. I was there till the 19th and on the morning of the 18th I stepped in coz I watched this lady keep messing with the highchairs making sure that mothers with babie/toddlers couldn't use highchairs. Talking over people having conversations and touching people's babies and going in their bags. Using drugged outside and coming back to cause trouble. When the staff reports events to higher up and reporting to council. The council will just tell those patrons to leave the premises but there's no protection for the staff again taking care of other guests. Theses
