YYi ShieanOur third consecutive stay in Japan’s onsen scene brought us to Kitakobushi Shiretoko Hotel & Resort. Though labelled as a 3-star hotel, this resort is the very definition of an underrated masterpiece. From the moment we arrived, it became clear this experience would rival any five-star destination we’ve ever visited.
Our room was a slice of paradise—spacious, serene, and offering a panoramic view of the breathtaking sea. Perfect for a moment of calm after a day of exploring. It was hard to tear ourselves away from the window, with its infinite horizon stretching beyond the blue waters. The bath experience was equally indulgent, with Dyson and Refa hairdryers in the public bath area. The soap and shampoo provided in the public baths? Luxurious, premium products that they also retail on-site. A small but significant touch that elevates this from your average onsen.
Where do I even begin with the buffet? It was nothing short of culinary theatre. Imagine live cooking stations serving up dishes with the flair of a fine dining restaurant. From sashimi so fresh, it redefined how I think about lean tuna—the texture was almost reminiscent of beef!—to the incredibly generous portions of salmon roe. Each dish was top-tier, but the dessert station truly took my breath away. A unique pumpkin and sweet potato creation was the surprise highlight, and I couldn’t help but indulge in multiple helpings of the organic apple, crisp and fresh like it was picked that very morning.
For fitness enthusiasts, there’s even a decent gym—a rarity for many onsen hotels. Meanwhile, the 24-hour lounge provides a range of delectable snacks, all of which are sold in their store. And though the prices may seem steep, the taste makes them worth every yen.
The free daily scoop of Peter Beier ice cream was simply divine. Made with Hokkaido milk, the vanilla was already a showstopper, but the pistachio took the experience to another level. After this, it was impossible not to purchase their chocolate truffles—pricey, but easily worth the splurge.
The experience extends outside the hotel, where an outdoor foot bath awaits with a view that will make you feel like you’ve entered another world. As long as the weather cooperates, this is an experience not to be missed.
In short, Kitakobushi Shiretoko Hotel & Resort might officially be a 3-star, but in our hearts, it’s a five-star experience through and through. A perfect blend of luxury, nature, and comfort, it’s an onsen resort that deserves to be on every discerning traveller’s radar.

UUtente anonimoWe love the ambience and everything about the hotel! Furnishing are very carefully and intentionally designed, really appreciated the overall cozyness we felt during our stay. Sadly we had to give the bathhouse a miss due to our schedule, but we enjoyed our stay regardless.
The only confusion we had was the check in/check out timing — the hotel page says check out is 11am, but we got a phone call at 10am telling us we’ve exceeded the check out timing. Page also mentions check in by 6pm, but we were only able to arrive at 9pm+ due to our flight and car rental processes, hence we checked in multiple times with the hotel. They were kind enough to assure us to drive safely as we can check in any time.

UUtente ospiteFantastic Onsen hotel..located on the hill top, all rooms assigned overlooking into the OKHOTSK SEA, with huge room and shower room are separated from the WC.
The hotel provide a shuttle bus from UTORO ONSEN BUS TERMINAL and will pick up guests from here.
Another good point is,there is a Airport Bus Liner which comes direct to the hotel to pick guestyfor drop off at Shiretoko Shari Bus terminal enroute to Mambabetsu Airport.
The breakfast is really yummy with lots of spread however the buffet dinner is average and the same spread for the two nites I stayed.
Where else the ONSEN, I would give a 4/5.
Another good point to note is those coming by train to Shiretoko Shari station, opposite is the Shari Bus terminal which provides transer to the UTORO ONSEN BUS TERMINAL.in about 50 mins.
Overall Shireto Daiichi Hotel is a big luxurious hotel and they provide shuttle for onwards bus transfer to the SHIRETOKO NATURE PARK which is so beautiful to wander out to seek nature's awesomeness.

UUtente ospiteLoved it. Really comfy lounge area with floor to ceiling windows ocean view which invites you to sit down and relax. Kitchen next to it was open clean and functional. Room was basic with toilet and vanity area but again faced the ocean with floor to ceiling windows which made it special. Again onsen had the same views with sauna and cold bath. For those with no cara bit of a walk into town. Highly recommend.

WWujiwuyi因為太靠近海邊.宇登呂温泉鎮屈指可數十家酒店.上百間客房的酒店就三家.人非常多.吃飯需要排隊.就餐比較嘈雜.泡温泉也不夠安靜.辦理退房入住排隊的人也非常多.不太方便.慶幸定了有共同廚房的酒店住了六天.有超級大的公用廚房.自己採購了食材.油鹽醬洗滌用品等酒店提供.烤箱微波爐都有.每餐都可以做.面朝藍天大海的烹飪的感覺太好了.因為這裏四點半就天亮.宇登呂温泉鎮這裏餐廳基本兩點就關閉了.主要也沒有什麼餐廳.總共就七家.唯一一家居酒屋關的比較晚.還在遙遠的另一個碼頭附近.實在不能滿足我們的需求.整個鎮就一家超市買菜.五點就關門了.需要提前採購.因為之前住的沒有房間了.所以再次定了有廚房的酒店.雖然廚房不是超級超級大.也有十幾個平方.廚具可是專業的中央廚房.非常非常好用.酒店的房間有三十幾個平方.很大.一米五的雙人床.中間還有圓桌子和沙發轉椅.還有梳粧台和寫字枱.房間裏設施很全.並且非常乾淨整潔.窗外就是海灘.觀景也不錯.並不是攜程描述的平方數.酒店的接送是免費的.因為離宇登呂温泉大巴站拖行李需要走路十五分鐘.有上坡下坡.必須提前給酒店聯繫.這樣有人會來大巴站接送.酒店的所有工作人員都很熱情.並且很真誠的幫助你處理一切問題.酒店的公共設施：洗衣機乾衣機等等都很好用.並且一層有一個公共衞生間.不管你是在二層做飯和大堂看風景.都不用回到你的房間上衞生間.很方便.如果你住的三樓.你到一樓也有衞生間.每層都有太方便了.咖啡無限量免費自取.整個酒店非常乾淨.有很多温馨提示.前台也會温馨提醒你入住的所有需要的事宜.並且親自帶你去看一遍.讓你度假更加舒適.推薦入住.

UUtente ospiteL'hotel è a metà montagna, un hotel molto tranquillo e grande. È possibile vedere il sole sul mare di notte. Più di un chilometro dalla stazione di autobus. Ci vorranno circa 20 minuti a piedi. Non è molto conveniente mangiare. È possibile scegliere di comprare un ristorante o andare sotto la montagna. L'hotel ha un negozio privato. La stanza dell'hotel è molto grande, e la camicia è molto grassa e si trova molto comoda, poi c'è un grande piscina calda, e il tempo di apertura è molto lungo. Le ore 3 p.m. al giorno seguente sono le 9 p.m. se la gente si dispiace andare, può aspettare mezzanotte. Haha, il vestito dell'hotel è anche bello, un cielo blu, C'è un cappello fuori.Poi c'è un bus all'ingresso dell'hotel per un'altra ragazza che è piena di aeroporto, e'molto conveniente.

HHo SumAnche se qualcuno potrebbe preferire un alloggio superiore, questo hotel è molto grande per me e la mia famiglia.
Situato proprio davanti alla stazione JR Shiretoko Shari, può essere molto conveniente per me e la mia famiglia prendere un treno da qualche altra parte.
L'altra eccellenza dell'hotel è che c'è un negozio di comodità proprio oltre la linea zebra.
Il personale dell'hotel, dal ricevitore del front desk al custode, ha provato tutti a rispondere alle mie domande e a riparare la mia stanza.
Il prezzo dell'hotel è molto ragionevole. Ho soggiornato lì per 8 notti consecutive, ho trovato che il prezzo se molto ragionevole.

UUtente ospiteSituazione perfetta.Era a 5-min camminare dalla stazione di autobus e meno di 10 minuti dalla zona di riposo del lato della strada. La stanza era spaziosa e si trovava di fronte al mare. Godendo il bellissimo sole dal balcone. Delizioso colazione e cena. La cena era grande.
Purtroppo, il personale non parlava inglese. Devo spendere un po' per comunicare e hanno provato il meglio per dare aiuto comunque. Migliore utilizzare la traduzione di Google in questo caso. Il tempo di check-in era 15:00. Non c'è un ricevitore prima di questo. Per gli ospiti che arrivano prima delle 15:00 possono lasciare il bagaglio in hotel, ma gli ospiti devono essere responsabili.

UUtente ospiteLa casa del capo è la mia candidatura a Kiki quel giorno, ma accidentalmente ho sperimentato una vita locale di nuovo. Sono andato nel villaggio ricco per 17 anni. Non ho bisogno di dormire da solo. Non è necessario, ma mia madre non mi piace, perché la stanza non ha bagno, andare fuori e non c'è aria condizionata, L'acqua che ho messo sul lavabo è stufa, ma non mi preoccupo molto per il popolo, perché è economico, non è freddo, la camera da quattro persone che ho prenotato non è abbastanza per coprire un altro strato. Se vuoi bere acqua, puoi anche vestirti in una sala da letto fuori per bere, che è anche pericoloso, perché è necessario aggiungere acqua quando si vuole acqua.
