Shangri-La The Chenrezig Hotel

Amazing hospitality by the staff at the hotel. Prior to arrival and throughout the stay, we are in contact with the staff via WeChat who provided helpful contacts, information and support. As we had to leave the hotel early after our first night for the Abujicuo hike, the hotel had kindly prepared early breakfast (before 7.30am) for us to takeaway. This includes fruits, milk and bread. Otherwise, the breakfast option (Chinese, continental etc.) will be decided the night before to consume at the breakfast area. As for the room, it has a very modern and luxurious concept to it as seen in photos. The hotel also provides a variety of shower shampoo, body soap and body lotion to choose from (Balmain & others) during check-in. Lastly, we appreciate that the hotel has self-service washing machine/dryer on the rooftop for us to wash clothes after our hikes.

The property is about a year old. It is clean and beautifully furnished. The staff were friendly and helpful with queries. When we had trouble paying our driver through the various platforms, they stepped in to help. For breakfast, they offer a selection of Chinese, ******* and western cuisine. There are also restaurants along the same stretch of road as the hotel. The ancient city is about a 15 min walk down the road from the hotel.

The lady staff 格桑is very friendly and helpful, she is able to help me with every request that I need. Provide me with oxygen bottle, extend my hours for check out as I was late return from national park.

This hotel really feels like a 5 star hotel! Firstly, the entrance is really grand. The rooms are really beautiful and well kept. The TV … omg! They have so many shows!! The staff is really hospitable. They really treat you like its their house, feed you and keep you warm. We were going to leave the hotel to visit the city at 4pm and the staff reminded us to bring jackets because the temperature dips a lot at night. Luckily they reminded us because it was really cold after. And finally, we took the airport transfer to the airport. The arranged transfer is amazing. The biggest, most spacious car I’ve ever sat. Thank you so much!

We had a wonderful time at thel hotel. Room is very comfortabe and can compete with international 5 star hotel. Excellent service from the staff, always ready to help. Good quality breakfast set with semi buffet for snacks, salad and fruits.
