MSG Curated Design Hotel Apartment

An Absolute Gem in the Heart of Shanghai!** My stay at this apartment was nothing short of perfect. The location is unbeatable—just a few steps from the famous, bustling Nanjing Pedestrian Street, putting all the energy of Shanghai right at your doorstep. Yet, the moment you enter the apartment, it feels like a peaceful, quality sanctuary. We loved our time here! The apartment is exactly as described—modern, clean, and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owner has clearly invested in making this a comfortable home. All the appliances are top-notch Siemen brand, which we really appreciated. Having a combined washing machine and dryer, fridge and dishwasher was incredibly convenient. The best feature, without a doubt, the real highlight for us was the private terrace; having our morning coffee while overlooking 新世界 was unforgettable. This is a quality home through and through. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Shanghai. Highly recommended

Location: Few minutes walk to people square subway and nanjing pedestrian shopping street. Many restaurants and malls nearby. Near Huanghe food street, near new world mall which has a large food court, across from that is another mall with more food options. There is also a convenience store on first floor that sells drinks. Service: Similiar to an airbnb. No lobby but Hotel staff responds quickly and asks if you want room cleaned and toiletries resupplied. They are very easy to communicate with. They provide 2 packs of disposable towels a day which are quite good. Amenities: Bed was comfortable and clean. Airconditioning works well. Washing machine can both wash and dry. Shower pressure and temperature was very good and washroom has advanced built in dehumidifier and exhaust features. Sink in washroom was too small, but kitchen sink was large and very useable. Large refridgerator provided. No kitchen utensils. Tv projector didn’t work well. Not enough places to hang clothes in washroom. Toilet is electronic but has no bidet. No smell of smoke anywhere except first floor. When checking in just directly message the hotel and ask what floor to go and ignore the three smoking security guards on the ground floor if you can’t speak chinese. Location on amaps is easily searchable as MSG hotel. Building looks a bit dated outside and unlike a hotel, but there are multiple luxury cars parked right at the main entrance and in the area, so the place is very quiet but not shady looking. Overall had a good experience and would definitely stay again.

The apartment is very cozy with fantastic city view. The location is very convenient, very close to People's square and Nanjing road. The host offered cleaning service and free water. We also used the washing machine. The only missed some cups and plates to cook meals, so we went to the restaurants and cafes - there are plenty of them around the house. To sum up, the apartment is highly recommended!

Es tut uns leid so eine Bewertung zu hinterlassen, aber es war wirklich kein schönes Erlebnis. Vorab, das Hotel ist im Grunde keines - zumindest nicht so, wie wir es von China gewohnt waren: - es riecht überall nach Rauch (es wurde auch in der Lobby vom Sicherheitspersonal geraucht), - die Fenster sind nicht schalldicht, sodass wir die ganze Nacht in den Genuss von Baustellenlärm oder ähnlichem kamen. - die Sauberkeit der Wohnung war schlecht ( überall Haare, Staub, Tomatenflecken, der Abfluss war verstopft. Hier müssen wir aber zugestehen, dass nach unserer Beschwerde gehandelt und geputzt wurde (nicht besonders gut, aber es wurde getan). - es wurde während der gesamten Zeit kein Toilettenpapier nachgefüllt oder der Müll geleert etc. wir haben die Unterkunft gebucht, weil wir dachten es sei ein Hotel … wir wussten nicht, dass wir uns um alles kümmern sollen. Wir haben auch Toilettenpapier gekauft … ( die Frau meinte, ich kann ihr gerne schreiben, sollten wir was benötigen. Aber bei so einem kurzen URLAUB will man ja eigentlich nicht andauernd nach etwas fragen müssen🙈) Reinigung ist nicht inbegriffen, dessen sind wir uns bewusst. Wir dachten aber, dass wir zumindest Toilettenpapier oder Handtücher bekommen. Positiv war, wie schon gesagt, dass sich das “Hotel” auf unsere Beschwerde hin gemeldet hat und wir uns einigen konnten. Außerdem ist die Lage sehr gut, sicher und nah an einer u-Bahn Station. Und die Waschmaschine mit Trocknerfunktion war großartig☺️ Es tut uns so leid, da wir ungern eine schlechte Bewertung hinterlassen, aber wir würden nicht wiederkommen und können die Unterkunft auch nur bedingt empfehlen.

The place is just off Nanjing Pedestrian Street, which makes for easy shopping and offers great connectivity via People’s Park Station. Place is clean, comes with new fridge, a washer dryer which is good for those intending to do their laundry and plenty of clothes hangers. While there’s a kitchenette, I don’t think they’re expecting any use, since there’s no cookwares nor even cutlery. There’s just 2 small bowls which we used to drink the boiled water. They will message you via Trip.com a day before to check your arrival time. You can add them on WeChat for faster service. You will receive the door PIN for your room near your arrival time, and a staff will greet you and introduce the amenities and service if it’s within their service hours. They take up 2 floors in a mixed use building. We don’t hear any noise from the other floors but you do hear the sounds from next door occupants which may be disturbing if they returned late at night. There is no room cleaning and the cleaner will not enter the room when you’re away. Just message them to empty the rubbish and replenish the disposable stuff when you’re in the room during their service hours. Service is prompt. The actual room is nowhere as instagrammable as the shown pics, which was rather disappointing. Mayhaps the service jest about taking the sofa with you if you like had been taken literally by some to take the decors as keepsakes when they leave?

최고입니다. 상하이를 여러 번 다녀봤고 이번엔 특별히 처음으로 가족과 함께라서 좋은 곳을 찾아봤는데 이만한 곳이 없었습니다. 사진과 다를까봐 걱정 했는데 사진과 똑같이 좋은 곳이었습니다. 일회용 타월만 조금 불편했는데 다행히 어머니께서 수건을 여러 장 챙겨 가셔서 아무 문제 없었습니다. 좋은 숙소에서 편하게 지낼 수 있게 해주셔서 고맙습니다. 다음에 여럿이 가게 되면 꼭 들르겠습니다.
