Location:
The hotel is conveniently located close to the Bund, with the subway just a 10-minute walk away. There’s also a great mall—瑞红天地太阳宫—about 10 minutes away, which offers good restaurants and a supermarket.
Facilities:
The hotel is brand new, with a sleek, cozy, and well-thought-out design throughout, from the foyer to the rooms. There’s a laundry area and a small gym equipped with Technogym machines (a few extra weights would be a nice addition). They clearly didn’t cut corners here! However, I do hope they maintain their attention to detail when repairs are needed. It’s a common issue I’ve noticed: when something is fixed, the repair is often visible, making the space look worn out too quickly. It would be a shame for such a lovely hotel to lose its charm due to careless repairs.
Staff:
The staff are the real highlight! Every team member, from the cleaners to the receptionists, regardless of age, is incredibly helpful and genuinely seems to care about their work. On several occasions, they proactively assisted me, even when I hadn’t asked. Though their English may be limited, they go above and beyond to communicate and help in any way they can.
Food:
The breakfast offers a solid variety of healthy Chinese dishes—exactly what you’d want for a good start to the day.
To sum up:
If you’re in the area for business or leisure and want to avoid the larger, more standardized hotels, this boutique option is an excellent choice. It’s even better if you speak a little Chinese and enjoy Asian cuisine!
