Shanghai Xin Lun Boutique Hotel (Pudong International Airport Branch)

Good for airport transfer stay. There are some food and shopping mall around so you wont be boring at night.

My final day at the hotel was incredibly frustrating and disappointing, especially since I had chosen to stay here for one night specifically to ensure a smooth departure before my flight the next afternoon. First, my online parcel—which arrived a day before my stay—was mishandled by the hotel. This created unnecessary stress, and I had to spend time calling both TB customer service and the delivery company to track it down. Thankfully, it was located just in time before I had to leave for the airport shuttle, but the whole situation was avoidable and added a lot of anxiety. Second, the breakfast was a letdown. Instead of being served in a proper in-house restaurant, it was simply ordered from the restaurant next door and delivered to the room in takeaway containers. For the price I paid, I expected a better dining experience—not something that felt like a quick fix. Lastly, the shuttle service was a mess. It was raining heavily, and all the guests had to drag their luggage out to the roadside in the downpour just to board the bus. There was no shelter, no assistance, and not even an umbrella provided. It was chaotic and honestly embarrassing. For a hotel that promotes convenience, this was anything but.

Everywhere in the hotel it was strictly emphasized that smoking is not allowed, but our room was the most smoky place I have ever encountered. There was an ashtray there (why would there be one if the rooms were non-smoking???) To be fair, all the rooms smelled like that. This was a disaster. I indicated that there were three of us checking in, but towels were given only for two, even though there were three toothbrushes. Breakfast was also provided for two (but there was no option to choose three breakfasts for an additional fee when choosing a room on trip.com). The rest of the service was more or less normal, exclusively through a translator from English to Chinese and vice versa.

Overall, it's a decent hotel for an overnight stay if you're visiting Disneyland. They provide a free shuttle in the morning to get there by opening time, but there were issues with the return trip-since the information was supposed to be sent via WeChat (which I didn't have), and the receptionist didn't speak English, she just told me to take a taxi. Also, they don't provide airport transfers at night. The room was clean, but there was an unpleasant smell, and the shower flooded the entire floor, which stayed wet until morning.

Very beautiful and clean Hotel. In a quiet neighbourhood. Lovely Staff! I arrived early from another city and called the reception and asked for an earlier check in. It was offered with no extra cost. Although they did not speak English they made an effort to communicate effectively! 💌They also offered an airport pick up bus and called my room to make sure that I was up and ready so I wouldn’t miss the flight. 10/10 hospitality! I’ll be coming back here next time.
