Hotel in zona Altreu Storchendorf, Selzach

This is a fine hotel about a 10-15 min walk from the Solothurn train station across the river and up a hill. The old town (Altstadt) of Solothurn is very nice, reknown in Switzerland for its Baroque style. The hotel itself is first class but I would strongly advise being sure to stay in the main building itself, not the annex. Here's why: the annex is on an alleyway and near a bar which has a loud and boisterous clientele. When we were there, it was as though the zombie drummer from Hell and his singers were having a gig - happily, I think Swiss law closed them up at 10 or so. Not sure if this is always the case but.... The restaurant at the hotel is very nicely done, excellent food and wine list, breakfast is sumptuous, service tops. Solothurn is off the beaten touristic track for most but if there, this is a worthy candidate in which to find repose.

This is a review of the Courtyard's restaurant Bluma - not the hotel. We were a group of 9 people who had lunch at the hotel's restaurant yesterday. The restaurant has a rather nice selection of smaller dishes (a tasting menu) from around the world (e.g. quesadillas, Bao buns, falafels, etc.). The idea is that you order 2-3 items and, if possible, share dishes at your table. In general, a nice concept and a nice looking restaurant. My issues with the restaurant: - COSTS: the costs are high, especially when going for lunch. The dishes cost from CHF 14.50 - 22.50 and a liter of water cost CHF 12. So, you are easily spending close to CHF 40 per person, assuming you only get 2 dishes. As some of the dishes were really very small, many of us needed 3 dishes. This is a very expensive restaurant, even for Switzerland. - SERVICE (1): the restaurant was empty except for our group (perhaps because of the cost issue above?). We all ordered fairly quickly, but the dishes came out staggered over the next 70 minutes. As I only ordered one dish, I sat there watching everyone else eat as mine (the Goan beef curry) came out last. Why would it take well over an hour to get all the food prepared? There was no one else in the place! And, one of the steak dishes was forgotten and had to be re-ordered, so we had a rather hungry teenage boy for awhile. - SERVICE (2): the wait staff did not understand even basic German, you had to speak French (preferable) or English with them. - SERVICE (3): we asked for separate bills by family which would have meant 5 separate receipts for our group. As the restaurant was completely empty, it should really not have been a problem. Yet, we still received one bill at the end and it was quite difficult to separate. Anyway, I hope the hotel F & B management is reading their reviews and does something to fix their cost and service issues. Again, the concept of a tasting menu is interesting and the reason we selected your restaurant. Consider offering a special lunch menu & price and please do look at the service issues.

Sono qua da un mese, per lavoro, la prima settimana tutto sommato bene, dalla seconda uno schifo, mi sono trovata su tutto il corpo piena di sfogo (pulci del letto o acari del legno, perché ho messo i vestiti nell armadio, che oltretutto hanno un cattivo odore). A metà settimana buttavo l asciugano a terra (come c'è scritto di fare per farlo cambiare) me lo sono ritrovato appeso. Camera SPORCA, piena di polvere, vetri non ne parliamo. Reclamato più volte che le camera non sono pulite, non è stato fatto nulla. Diccino rotto, ho dovuto creare io qualcosa per reggerlo, luci che non vanno, l altra sera avevo caldo ho fatto per accendere il ventilatore, non funzionava, ho aperto la finisetra, mi sono ritrovata la camera piena di insetti e al mattino moscerini nel letto, pieno. Calzini neri diventati uno swiffer. Organizzazione 0, obbligata a dormire con una collega (tra covid e possibili vari problemi) perché hanno fatto ****** con le prenotazioni e in più cerchi di parlare per esprimere i disagi ed evitano in tutti i modi facendo finta di non capire (quando volgiono). Colazione, pane toccato da tutti (con un tovagliolo appoggiato che servirebbe a non toccarlo) assurdo, pane da tostare, freddo, con il tost a pane non funzionante.. Devo continuare? E scandaloso un hotel a 3 stelle

Ho visitato Delemont con un gruppo di amici questo fine settimana. Siamo un club automobilistico sportivo e spesso viaggiamo in Europa. Ero con mia figlia di 7 anni e il nostro soggiorno era perfetto. Mercure Delemont è un nuovo hotel, caldo e perfettamente attrezzato per un soggiorno molto piacevole. La nostra camera da letto ha tutte le attrezzature e ci è divertito il nostro tempo a Delemont. Buon colazione mattina e grande cortesia della squadra di ricezione. Poi è arrivato il miglio extra. Mia figlia ha dimenticato il suo ”dudu” (il suo bambola notturno) nel nostro dormitorio. Ci siamo resi conto 300 km dopo e era davvero triste. In meno di 24 ore il suo piccolo coniglio è tornato a casa, viaggiando in modo sicuro come una consegna prioritaria con la posta svizzera. Chiunque abbia una bambina sa cosa significa. L'equipaggio di Mercure non voleva nemmeno essere pagato per la consegna. Grazie Mercure per il vostro alloggio perfetto e per aver curato dei vostri piccoli clienti ... e i loro preziosi bambole notturne. Un grande colpo per la sua sensibilità e cortesia. Ci vediamo al nostro prossimo viaggio a Jura.
