Son Ametler

Our second visit, and it won’t be our last. We stayed in a superior suite - the same as our last visit by coincidence - spotlessly clean, comfortable, spacious. The staff were as ever friendly, courteous and helpful, nothing was a problem. Lee who is front of house, is a joy. ALL the staff made our stay very welcome. The dining is superb. We dined every evening - apart from the Sunday which was chef’s night off. The Monday on arrival was “grill night”- excellent , a BBQ outside, perfect for mingling with other guests.Special thanks must go to the chef whose creative and imaginative skills make the dining so special. Overall, the finca offers a quiet stay. One can remain by the pool, which is select and quiet. There are separate seating/lounging areas which make the feel of the place uncrowded and at times, it feels like one’s own place. The honesty bar is a great idea. The views are stunning. The dining superb, The staff, excellent. Nothing more to say, other than again - please don’t change a thing, one cannot change on perfection!

We enjoyed every minute of our stay in Son Ametler. The room and bathroom (jr suite) spacious, the furniture nice and the view relaxing. Beakfast has "everything", nicely presented. Freshly squeezed orange juice, egg&b, local hams.... Dinner equally delicious! The staff: attentive, smiling, +++. The property: very well kept. We will be back - for sure!

We enjoyed yet another fantastic stay at Son Ametler. The hotel is an oasis of tranquility and everything runs like clockwork thanks to the great team, in particular Leigh - nothing is too much bother for her and she is a fount of local information. The dinner menu was lovely and the chef was always happy to accommodate some of the fussier eaters! I hope we'll be back.

The most fabulous hotel where nothing is too much trouble. We arrived late and were given a delicious plate of cheese and ham and the staff were all amazing. Leigh and Cati were so helpful with information about things to do and places to go. We found our first room a bit small but a larger room was found with no problem and every room has a beautiful view, The gardens are beautiful to wander around with pretty paths down to the pool set among olive, orange and lemon trees and looking out over the mountains. . The chef produces delicious food for breakfast and dinner and everything is very relaxed, just what you want on holiday and we really hope to return!

What an exceptional place this is. My family and I stayed for three nights after staying in another location on the island and we could not have asked for a more relaxing stay and end to our holiday. We had a large room with two balcony’s - perfect for a family (our children are 10). We were able to divide the room for privacy. The rooms was spotless and beautifully decorated. The location of Son Ametler is perfect for exploring the mountain villages, and stunning beaches on the north west side of the island, however we were more than happy just to chill in the pool with the beautiful views of their own vineyard and mountains. The honesty bar is very well stocked with some fabulous choices of wine and spirits. Kids are also well looked after. We had the half board option and the food was exceptional. Tapas night in particular was a massive highlight. Breakfasts were plentiful with many options too. If you want to escape the busyness of the island for something more slow paced and peaceful, this is the place for you. Highly deserving of their 5 star rating. Thanks so much to all the staff for such a wonderful stay. We will be back!

This Finca is truly a hidden gem at the foot of the Mallorcan mountains surrounded by breathtaking vineyards. From the moment we checked in to the moment we left we were met with friendly smiles from all the staff. The breakfast and the food in general was delicious. The kids enjoyed the pool and exploring the vineyards. The finca is beautifully decorated and is a welcome change from the chaos of Palma and the rest of the island. Unlike the other hotels we had visited during our trip the owner and staff provided a personalised service and were always ready to answer our questions and give us their recommendations. The Finca is perfectly located between the beaches of the North and the must-see towns of Soller and Deia. We stayed for 3 nights and could easily have stayed longer. I can not recommend this Finca enough and thank you again to Paola, Leigh, Brenda and the rest of the staff!!!

Now three weeks after our short 2-night stay, we still think back on it wishing we could relive the relaxation overlooking the pool with the beautiful mountain range right in front of you, and looking up at the clear star-lit sky at night. We saw one couple who were there for their second two-week stay, and when we left we couldn’t help but relate to them. If we ever go back to Mallorca or hear of anyone going there, Son Ametler will be our top recommendation. We recorded the sound of goat bells that we heard each morning, and sometimes listen back to the audio and reminisce on the experience. Thanks to all the friendly staff. Side-note: in hindsight we feel it’s more worth it to spend time relaxing at the hotel than going to nearby towns; we went to the Lluc Monastery and found it not worth the journey when we could’ve spent that time at Son Ametler. Also, if you have telescopes, equipment to view the stars, or take pictures of the sky (because your phone won’t do it justice), please bring it here. I’ve hardly ever seen such a beautiful sky.

This is one of the most enjoyable and relaxing places we have ever stayed! The hotel has only 13 rooms. Our suite (no 12) was well appointed and spacious, equipped with everything you could want. Very well appointed with a comfy bed, separate dressing room, bathroom with walk in shower and bathtub. The room also had a spacious balcony with beautiful view (see my attached photos) – a view which constantly changed with the light and one which I could never get bored of. The room and rest of the hotel was spotless cleaned every day. The room had a very efficient air-conditioning. The breakfast at Son Ametler is really good, a lovely cold cheese and meat counter, lots of breads pastries, fruits and cereals plus the kitchen made lots of different cooked meals. We had intended eating out in the evenings but the dinners on offer were so good we ate there three nights out of four. The food, served on the lovely covered terrace, was prepared from local produce and very tasty for very reasonable price. Wine prices readable. The pool area with comfortable loungers was wonderful and never felt busy! In the honesty bar you could go and get drinks and snacks whenever you liked. The staff are very welcoming and attentive.
