I recently stayed at The Leverage Business Hotel in Skudai and found the experience to be a mix of positives and serious concerns.
What I liked most was the location — it’s convenient and easily accessible, with food and amenities nearby. The staff at the front desk were courteous, and their service met expectations.
However, the condition of the room was disappointing. The toilet bowl seat was unstable and felt like it could dislocate at any moment. There were also signs of rust and general uncleanliness, which gave the impression of poor maintenance. In terms of entertainment, the room only offered basic local TV channels with no additional options, which made it quite dull for guests staying in.
The most alarming part of our stay happened on the morning of our departure. Just as we were about to head down to the lobby, we saw people — not in uniform — scan their card and enter our room without knocking. This was extremely concerning, as we had not yet checked out. It felt like a serious security breach. If housekeeping or staff are entering rooms without confirming guest check-out, it puts privacy and safety at risk.
Overall, while the hotel has good service and a great location, the poor room condition and serious lapse in security need immediate attention. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously to improve the guest experience moving forward.
