"For those who are driving, take note that the hotel shares the same parking area with Victoria Inn which is next door. And the connection to phone line of Hotel 19 is not available so do call Victoria In front desk to enquire about the parking directions. I like how it's soooo convenient that it is walking distance to Chulia street and many other eateries as for my case, we just come back to the hotel and rest only. Limited room amenities are provided, I advised to bring your own toothpaste, toothbrush, vanity kit, shaving kit, shampoo (they only have conditioner), body wash and stuff. Stayed 2 nights so we requested for a room makeup, I love how the staff placed my dog plushie laying comfortably on our bed haha, so detailed! Tbh we heard the renovation noises, but it doesn't really affect us since we were tired after a long day's trip to go around the island. But it's still a nice and comfortable stay tho with most of the necessities available alr. Would come back to stay again next time and would like to try the yellow rooms for a change!"

"Arrived around 2pm and checked inn was smooth. Got room on 2nd floor but its sokay. Room in good condition although was old style. The aircond in room need to service but in living room was okay. Theres a mamak stall and steambot restaurant walking distance in front of main road. Overall was a fine stay"

"Everything good. Worth at this price. If you don't expect too much. Hotel room big, just abit old, but it's acceptable. Overall OK to stay. Nearby have a Chinese food court."

"When checking in, don't pay the tourism tax again! My payment on Trip.com included the tourism tax, but the counter staff asked me for it again. It took him a while to confirm it in his printout. I booked for one night and then extended my stay, but changed room in the process. The first room was rather warm, being on the top floor, and the toilet in the first room was about one by two metres. The second room was better in both aspects. However, there was no tissue available, and the toilet paper was of rather low quality. While the traffic is alright outside of peak hours, there were hardly any stores within a short distance. Gurney Walk would be the nearest place to buy food and water, or exchange money."

"Surprised by how clean it was despite being an old hotel in the area. I am overall satisfied with the hotel and my room, especially the cleanliness of the toilet and tub area. If I have to be really fussy and pin point a thing I did not like, it would be that the blanket is slightly thinner than I would normally prefer a hotel blanket to me. However, this is just my very fussy side speaking. Overall, I would give this hotel a 4.9 out of 5. I had booked a room with breakfast during my two days there for a workshop. Both days are somewhat the same, food was decent. The workshop provided lunch which led me to again dining in the lunch buffet section, overall it was pleasant. I like it that the hotel provided a variety of Penang food over the two days. My fav was the rojak which I took a photo here haha! Hub enjoyed the pool and hot & cold pool (sadly the sauna was under maintenance). Before I checked out, I also happened to be part of the Penang heritage launch ceremony. So, I got to see some of the really beautiful art work and nyonya clothing items on sale at the pop up stalls at the lobby too. The hotel also was serving nutmeg juice and Penang famous snack 豆沙饼. I must mention too, that I got a sea view room which allowed me to see the extension project by MBPP. There was a very happening and lovely park opposite the hotel just minutes walk away. I couldn’t help to bring myself over and was really happy to experience the joy of the families enjoying the facilities there. Huge slide, lots of climbing equipment and a very decent skatepark! Running track was very nice too! You must check it out if you’re in Penang! It was overall a pleasant stay in all."
