The Olde Ship Inn

Not great! A hotel with a nautical theme which is stuck in the 70s. Rooms so so dated. Clean, but very old furniture, carpet and linen. Room temperature far too warm as well even after opening the window. Food was very poor. Presented like the chef didn’t care and didn’t taste grate. Feel a bit unwell after eating it. Had a parfait with some basic bread which was cut in a peculiar way. My main of steak and ale pie had a weird whole carrot served with it and a horrid tasting mash which I left. Hotel and meal very cheap but just not great and couldn’t recommend to anyone. 2 course dinner and a beer £32 and hotel and breakfast £85. Young blonde haired waitress in the restaurant a credit to the business. Very professional and friendly. I would suggest to the owners to modernise the hotel, get a new chef and start charging more!

Lovely pub in great location on the Seahouses harbour, 5 minutes drive to Bamburgh castle. Single room was very comfortable with enough room to move around and unpack a suitcase. Bar was excellent, as was the restaurant. Included breakfast was exceptional!

Great couple of nights spent at the 'Olde Ship Inn'. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was plentiful with quality local produce. Staff were all pleasant and attentive. The bar area was welcoming and full of shipping memorabilia. There was a great choice of beers/spirits (none alcoholic drinks are also available)!! A great place to stay for those wanting to explore the wonderful Northumberland coast, and as the Olde Ship Inn is just by the harbour, I highly recommend a boat trip to the Farne islands!

We had the loveliest weekend stay at the Olde Ship in Room 7. It was excellent value on the winter offer. Ashley took the time to swap our room to one on a lower floor due to my injured knee, which I felt was above and beyond customer service, given the rooms were so full this wknd. Love the pub, it’s very special to me every time I visit , as I’ve been coming since I was a baby! The atmosphere through the whole stay in the pub was so friendly and relaxed, all Staff were absolutely lovely, the evening food was great and breakfast and the service were perfect too! Our room was cosy and comfortable. 5 stars for everything from us, thank you and we will keep returning! Best Northumberland pub there is!

Large double room, well appointed with a four poster. The room was very clean and full of character, large bathroom with a large bath, water was piping hot coffee and tea provided, only downside was gaps around the door which allowed light through from the passage, we had to place a pillow at the foot of the door to block the light, despite this we had a wonderful evening, the staff were very helpful, we would definitely return.

As always we had a lovely relaxed weekend at the Ship. The room was spotless and cosy. Breakfast was delicious & plentiful, lots of fruit, cereal to choose from aswell as a beautiful cooked breakfast. Staff are very friendly & welcoming.I would recommend it to my family and friends. Hope to be back soon.
