Welcome to Sugar Sand Sanctuary, a three-story, 5-bedroom, 4-bathroom beach cottage located in the exclusive Cottages at Camp Creek community. Situated between Rosemary Beach and Seaside, this charming retreat is steps from private deeded beach access and offers sweeping Gulf views, luxury amenities, and unparalleled proximity to the best of South Walton. The fully stocked kitchen, high-speed internet, and smart TVs with Netflix and Hulu ensure comfort and entertainment for all. After a day of exploring, rinse off in the outdoor shower and relax on one of the cottage’s private porches. From the front door of our house to the beach is about 300 steps and should take the average walker 3-5 minutes. This 5-bedroom, 4-bathroom vacation rental features: Primary Master Bedroom: Primary Suite (Gulfside) – 1 King bed – Ensuite bathroom with a jetted tub, shower, and toilet Primary Guest Bedroom: Second Primary Suite (Community side) – 1 King bed – Ensuite bathroom with a combination tub/shower and toilet. French doors lead to a 20-foot covered porch with Gulf views. This floor also includes a bedroom with two queen beds and a full bathroom. Third Floor: A king suite with a private balcony offers breathtaking Gulf views, while a cozy bunk room provides space for kids with a twin-over-full bunk bed and a high-quality air mattress. Parking: All vehicles must be parked in one of two designated parking areas. Guests may park up to 2 vehicles in the home’s driveway. Guests may park a third vehicle in the guest community parking area (across from the driveway), but only with a valid parking pass. There is a $100 fine, which will be passed on to the guest responsible for attempting to park more than one vehicle in this area. Note that parking is limited, and parking spots are first come, first served. Paid parking is available at various local businesses in the surrounding area. No street parking is permitted. Parking vehicles in any other location in the community will likely result in the vehicle being towed at the vehicle owner’s expense. About the Community/Property: Conveniently located near newly opened attractions such as the 48,000 square foot Publix Grocery Store and Watersound Farmers Market, Cottages at Camp Creek ensures guests have everything they need within a short drive. Dining options like Ambrosia Prime Seafood and Steaks, 30A Burger Bar, and Shades are just minutes away, while walking and biking trails along 30A lead to shopping and restaurants at Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach, and beyond. Enjoy the spacious 75-foot-long community pool, hot tub, and palm-tree-lined beach access just steps away. Private beach access is a very short walk away. From the front entrance, turn left onto 30A and walk along the path. The gate is located between the homes at 8858 and 8870 East Highway 30A.. Dillon’s Beach Service is the only vendor who has permission from the property owners to place chairs and umbrellas on the beach. They also offer paddleboards, kayaks, cabanas, and bonfires at public beach accesses. Chairs include delivery and set up, and they will take a credit card payment on the phone. At the beach, you can’t smoke or have tents or pets in the dry area of the beach. There are no lifeguard stations at this part of the beach, but you can still find out what the water conditions are by visiting the South Walton Fire Department’s Beach Safety Division. Take time to learn about the flags and what they mean. Also, please know that for liability reasons, the SWFD rarely flies the green flag, as they always want beach visitors to be cautious. Please keep in mind that it is illegal to enter the water under some conditions, so please take the time to understand what the conditions are. You can also get text updates on the conditions. Other details to note: Bookings can be no longer than 2 weeks in duration. Please note that staying at this home requires stairs (it is not handicapped-accessible). In addition to the full-sized crib, the owners provide a baby gate, Pack N Play/travel crib, and a child’s highchair for families with little ones. An air mattress can be made available. Beach towels in the first-floor cubbies in the entry area are available for guests’ convenience. If using the beach towels, guests must wash and dry them and return them to the cubbies prior to departure. Garbage pickup takes place at 6am on Tuesdays and Fridays. Accordingly, garbage must be bagged and put in the 4 bins next to the driveway on Monday and Thursday evenings. The community charges fees for excess garbage placed outside of the cans, so ensure all garbage is in bags inside the cans with closed lids to avoid these fees. Thank you in advance for being thoughtful by ensuring the next guests (and current neighbors) won’t be greeted with full trash cans. When cooking, do not drain grease into the sink or garbage. Allow grease to cool and harden before placing grease in the garbage. Please do not flush anything down the toilet except toilet paper. If you use the grill, turn it off immediately and close the valve on the propane tank. There are often detergent pods and dryer sheets in the laundry area for your use during your stay. Please use only what you need. Dishwasher tablets are available under the sink for your use during your stay. Again, please use only what you need. Do not place pots and pans in the dishwasher. If you call Dillon’s for beach service, make sure to give the home’s address and ask them to set up the chairs at the private access between Walton Gulf View Drive and A Street (next to the big white house). The primary renter must be staying in the unit. About the Community/Property: Prominence is an excellent choice for families and travelers looking to enjoy the stunning white sandy beaches of The Panhandle. Prominence features amazing amenities, open green spaces, and easy access to over 17 miles of bike paths. Guests can take advantage of a beautiful town center, resort-style pools, and a fitness center. The Hub is a family hot spot for entertainment. It features an outdoor 25-ft. LED theater screen, which plays, on the green, various sporting events and movies. Concerts, family activities, restaurants, and boutique shops (including Luke Bryan’s new cigar shop) are just some destinations within a 5-minute walk. Prominence is perfectly placed right in the middle of Seaside & Seagrove Beach, to the west, and Alys & Rosemary, to the east. This resort is located less than 15 miles from Pier Park. While staying at the Prominence, you have 2 pools to choose from (North & South Sides). North Pool hours: 8AM–9PM South Pool hours: 8AM-Dusk No Lifeguard on Duty; children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Pools are not heated. There are no hot tubs. No glass nor flotation devices may be brought to the pool decks. Please note that inclement weather (lightning within 5 miles) will lead security to lock entrances to the pool deck. While staying at the Prominence, you have many close by options! Deer Lake State Park (long boardwalk with stairs & ramps to beach – not ideal for elderly) Less than a mile away (about a 5-minute golf cart ride or less than a 10-minute walk! Must pay to park: cars and golf carts (approximately $3 per vehicle/cart) and bicycles ($2). I recommend arriving early, as parking is limited. Once full, the entrance will close. No beach service is provided here. Walton Dunes (access to beach with no stairs or ramp) Just 2½ miles down the road. Take a left at Lakewood Drive and follow the curve until you see the parking lot for cars/golf carts. Beach service is provided here, but there are no other amenities. Santa Clara (ramp but no stairs) About 3½ miles from Prominence. Located on Scenic 30A; ½-mile east of Scenic 395; turn south on Bramble Grove Place. During the peak season, visitors will have access to parking, restrooms, beach service, and lifeguards. Gulf Lakes (stairs but no ramps) Just ½ a mile east of Prominence. Offers parking for bikes (no cars), freshwater shower, and beach service. Please note, there are no restrooms. Tents/canopies up to 10' x 10' are allowed during daytime hours on public beaches. Larger tents are allowed on private beach property. Beach fires are permitted. However, you must get a permit and pay a fee (and, of course, clean up afterwards)! In 3.1 miles, turn right onto S. County Hwy 395. In 3 miles, turn left on E. County Hwy 30A. In 4.1 miles, your destination is on your right. When you arrive at Prominence - follow the road around to the right of the pool and go straight at the stop sign. Continue to the back of the neighborhood as the road curves around; 146 will be on your right. Look for the creamy white building with black garage doors. Park in the B parking spot; the front door is around the right side towards the back of the building. For garage access, when entering the code provided, press all keys slowly and firmly (including the word ENTER). Other details to note: Publix in Watercolor Crossing on S County HWY 395. About 5 miles away, or a 10-15-minute drive. I recommend going in the evening, as there are long lines and more traffic during the day. Groceries can be delivered to your vacation rental with Instacart, Shipt, 850 Elite Groceries, or Beachside Groceries. Transportation Options: Rent a car at the airport Golf Cart Uber & Lyft (Not Always Readily Available) Rent a Jeep from 30A Jeep Rentals Rent a bike at The Hub from Salt Air 30A or Frankie’s Upon booking, you’ll receive timely communications about your trip.
