Although the room was clean and warm it was nothing like the ads. The room was small, the door had no spy hole and the bathroom door opened outwards.
The bar had very unusual closing times, if it was quiet it would close at 10.00pm instead of the adverts 11.00pm, even for residents.

Went into the royal hotel today for some food and drinks with family and was greeted with Lovely service from Glenn who is always friendly and happy to help when asked and who provides a fast service. Happy to recommend this to more of my friends and for future bookings Will be back again thank you

Great service by Lewis he couldn't have been more helpful and why I've given 4 stars. Green king app says you can book a table b4 12 but doors don't open till 12! Food mixed lunch between a 1 and 7 and pudding 5. Could be better. May visit again on another day as used to carvery on Sunday.

Went in with family for food which was lovely didn’t have to wait long, thanks to Jenny for going the extra mile to make our visit enjoyable and to let us know you do a senior menu for our grandpa who’s 90, will definitely be returning for food again

Came in for a meal, the food was great and the service was fast. Thanks to Lewis who served us and who was friendly and funny. I will definitely be coming back and will be recommending this place to others.

Came to the royal hotel for a meal for my daughters birthday, the food was hot and delicious and although my daughter is a fussy eater I have to give a big shout out to Lewis who went above and beyond to make sure she was happy and went out of his way to make sure we was ok. We will definitely be returning and I’ve already recommended it to my friends.

Appalling service and attitude by the manager. How people still come in here is beyond me. Food ok at best. Drinks were good, would suggest a course on manners and customer care. How can people in this position be so rude and still justify their position.

Room not as described on ********** with a king and a pull out sofa where a double and two singles expected. Hotel noted this was an issue with ********** as they do not have any rooms of this type.
Helpful staff under the circumstances but sharing with a wriggly 5 year old was not ideal!
