Walcot Hall Estate

We got married here on 20th April and we can’t recommend Walcot Hall enough! Cindy, Theresa and all the rest of the team were absolutely fantastic and nothing was too much trouble for them! They went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect! Such a beautiful venue with lots of lovely places for photos! Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding! Thank you so much everyone! We stayed at the estate at the start of December for my partners birthday and just before our stay the lovely host and owner of the estate called and upgraded us from the Yurt to the lodge as it was due to be freezing during our stay and the lodge had heating ( and underfloor heating which was fab and an added bonus!) so we were upgraded for free. The lodge was beautiful, cosy and had everything you needed for a short break. It was also dog friendly and was situated in an enclosed paddock so we were able to let the dog out in the morning to run around in the snow which was lovely! Cindy, the host, was so helpful. She recommend some lovely walks and places to eat and offered for us to enjoy our breakfast on both days in the main house which is stunning. She couldn’t do enough for us and made our stay so memorable. Breakfast was very tasty and set us up for the day! The whole estate is beautiful and whether you’re staying in the main house, lodge or yurt ( maybe for the warmer months! ) you will be treated to a warm welcome, fabulous breakfast and beautiful views.

I organised and hosted a surprise birthday party for my boyfriend at Walcot Hall this weekend and the place exceeded all expectations! Cindy was incredibly helpful in the lead up to the event, answering all questions I had and offering suggestions for the day. We were even offered early check in and late check out to accommodate those coming from further away! The venue was stunning – photos don’t do it justice – all beds were VERY comfortable, the house was lovely and cool in the heat, cabin and yurt both stunning (although yurt very hot in the warm weather!!), shower in the yurt was perfectly fine (some comments on showers inside being slightly weak, nothing major). As it is very secluded and far from shops, I organised a Tesco delivery the morning of the event, which Cindy and her staff very kindly took in and put away for me! I underestimated the drinks required for a group of 18, but Cindy came to the rescue and sold us some wine before leaving us to enjoy! Although the (extremely lovely) staff were on site for the duration of our stay, looking after the horses etc. the place felt private and relaxed. Our evening even went into early hours of the morning with no bother, Cindy was just pleased we had a great time, it was such a dream! I had great feedback from everyone that attended, Cindy was truly fabulous, making us feel very relaxed and we felt we were able to treat the place as our own for the weekend which was honestly all we could ask for! Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND you book your staycation here, we had an incredible time and we even said we should make it a yearly occurrence since we had such fun! We had an incredible experience at Walcot Hatt staying in the yurtThe location was breathtaking, nestled in the heart of nature. The accommodation was a perfect blend of comfort and charm. We loved the luxurious amenities provided, from the cozy beddings to the en suite to the hot tub amd out outside areas.The attention to detail truly stood out. The personalised service from Cindy made our stay feel pampered throughout my stay. She was always ready to assist and ensure we had everything we needed.The site's eco-friendly initiatives were commendable as well. It felt great to connect with nature while minimizing our impact on the environment. A truly romantic place and experience set in a fantastic estate ran by a lovely lady Cindy. Absolutely stunning accommodation for our friends reunion! It was 13 adults and 12 children. We did need few extra mattresses for kids, but we took airbeds with us, so everyone had a bed to sleep on. The whole property was clean to a very high standard and kitchen was equipped for all our meals and drinks during our stay. Outdoor area was ideal for sport and family games. We also used a lot chairs outside to enjoy drinks on the sunny days. Cindy was very warm and welcoming, especially her 2 horses and the most cure 2 little dogs India and Barbie. I cannot recommend this accommodation enough. You will absolutely love it 😊🌷

Our wedding was on Saturday at Walcot it is a perfect location and the enchanted forest made everything magical. Staff were extremely helpful in making it all run smoothly no matter how big or small our requests were. The accommodation and grounds are great for photos and our guests enjoyed exploring the grounds. The marquee was ideal for the wedding breakfast and the reception. All our guests had a great time. My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at Walcot Hall with a staycation at the house, with the Yurt also. Cindy and Helen were both on hand to answer all my questions on the weeks leading up to the weekend and were always so helpful and friendly. The grounds and house itself at Walcot are gorgeous! The beautiful outdoor spaces with outdoor seating and BBQ were very well used as we had great weather! Before our arrival Cindy asked if we wanted a small pool putting up as we had younger children, which was a life saver and a big hit with the children! And we could easily keep an eye on them too! The gardens are gorgeous and maintained with wonderful views over the fields with the horses. I think everyone of us enjoyed watching the stable hands take the horses out each morning and bring them in each night too. Wether it was from the lawns or from the kitchen window it was always a lovely little treat being sop close to them! All rooms in the house are beautifully decorated and inkeeping with the houses feel, especially all the bedrooms! The children all said they were princess bedrooms, which they truly are. With such comfortable beds too!! We couldn't be more grateful to Cindy, Helen and the team who got the house prepared for us, everything was spotless. And putting additional beds in the rooms we had requested to cater for the smaller ones was such a big help! I would recommend a wedding and a staycation to anyone, truly a beautiful place that you can make wonderful memories. Thank you so much!

Excellent location for our family get together. Walcot is a beautiful home that we felt priveleged to be able to use. Cindy, the owner is on site so we wanted for nothing. The space meant the kids had a ball. The housekeeping staff can take a bow! Well done to everyone. And thank you x
