Hotel in zona Heinrich Schliemann Denkmal, Schwerin

I had stayed in this house before, even a few times, but a long time ago. Now I was shocked, because the way the property is run down is very scary and also very disappointing. What is fine as before: the location in the city is good and the Wi-Fi worked. But that was unfortunately already the positive experiences this time. The reception is only staffed until 22:00, so the concierge came right away also with the saying: I'm out of here, it's time to go home. Room card and bye. In the room, which at first superficial glance seemed fine, there were then the really disappointing surprises. And: A room change was now no longer possible because of the missing concierge. The main defect was the bed: Apparently the mattress is broken, because about 1000 nylon rods with a length of about 1mm pecked through the sheet when you sat or lay on it. That's how a fakir must feel. A pincushion of the finest. Every time I turned around I was awake with pain, so after two hours I decided to sleep the rest of the night in an armchair. Next to it, the facade spotlights shone into the room, and the darkening with blinds and curtains, which were not wide enough, worked only partially. Some of the furniture was really broken and the smoke detector was only visible as a socket on the ceiling. Next to it a lively cable tangle, which was obviously not built to the end. Also in the area of the corridors everywhere a considerable renovation backlog: letters of the lettering were missing, scuffs on the walls. The next morning at the reception, I complained about the night in the seating to the lady, who also tried to appease that problem, but could not or would not respond to my request for a 50% discount on the room rate. I also could not accept a free breakfast due to the upcoming customer appointment. My colleagues thought that I should have been fully reimbursed for the ”night”. A subsequent mail to the administration resulted in a 10% discount on the price. In summary: I think a new owner or management that will make the Plaza into one again, an it is urgently advised. It used to be a good hotel, but now it feels like the old GDR: no one cares anymore because no one owns it.

Arrived here late afternoon to a buoys front desk. No help with luggage, just a unfriendly hint to use the elevator with no definite directions. Room seemed clean but had the certain”used by date” smell. Carpet a grub, fridge empty but on. Toiletry bottles in vanity had no pump to be used so we had to use gel from the bath dispenser. It gets better from here… Love to have dinner we thought, so we entered the “restaurant”. No English speaking personal we found out… no dinner but a cold buffet for a fix price of €27. Mind you the buffet was *****ped by the people who been attending the function that took place next to the restaurant. So… no dinner than. Room service? Non to have. Check out time in the morning after breakfast again… buffet. Was ok and as one could expect. As hotel was pre booked on a named website, room was paid for. We left the room swipe card in the front desk and walked out again with 4 suitcases on our own with no help available. 2 hours later I got an email notifying me that hotel was unable to charge my credit card. I than clarified with website I booked that all details were correct. Next day I found my card was charged twice for the same room from the same vendor.( Hotel Schwerin Seven Lakes) once also additional €6 as penalty for a “failed” payment. 2 weeks later now, still no refund from this joint. My advise… stay away from this joint, it’s outdated, run against the wall and has non, whatsoever hotel character and flair.

Il personale è super amichevole. Le camere ristrutturate sono standard B e B. Sono attualmente ristrutturate lì. Sicuramente sarà bella. Torna indietro.

Siamo rimasti qui solo per una notte, ma da quello che abbiamo visto, vorremmo avere la possibilità di vivere questo posto per un periodo più lungo, questo è certamente un luogo dove si arriva per un periodo più lungo. Questo è un complesso più grande con vari tipi di camere/case.Abbiamo avuto uno studio, composto da un dormitorio con un'area da pranzo, una cucina, un bagno con un bagno, un giaciglio e un piccolo patio. Solo al di sotto della nostra esperienza c’era l’odore della pittura nella stanza quando arrivammo, e c’erano anche scaffold fuori dalla finestra della nostra stanza. Credo che la gente venga qui principalmente con la macchina, e ci sono stati carichi di parcheggi e hanno anche un posto dove lavare il parabrezza, che è stato utile perché il nostro parabrezza era pieno di bug morti. Il luogo è circondato anche da foreste e acqua, quindi ci sono molte moschee nelle serate almeno durante l'estate. Ci sono molte esplorazioni intorno alle strutture. Abbiamo goduto di guardare i diversi animali (aglio, alpaca, capra, griglia e galline), la posizione vicino all'acqua è bella e c'è una svanita nuotata vicino alla linea costiera. Puoi anche prenotare una sauna all'acqua se vuoi o prendi una nuotata mattinale nella loro piscina. C'è un'enorme prato dove puoi sederti in una sedia o in un bagno solare ombreggiato. Se ti senti più avventuroso, puoi anche noleggiare una barca. Il centro di Wi-Fi è stato molto breve, ma non abbiamo avuto colazione alberghiera.

The hotel is on a busy street so parking time must be kept to a minimum, it’s a long way round to the parking at the rear of the hotel, if you have reserved a place it’s best to ask for the address. Its a very nice hotel with quite large rooms. Good bed and nice bathroom. Wifi is average. Breakfast costs €15, quite a lot for a breakfast but it’s worth every penny. As soon as you walk into the restaurant, they ask you how you like your eggs. My omelette was very good, lots of bread available and croissants. Many sorts cheese , ham , etc etc. Fresh fruitsalad, fresh coffee is brought to your table. I even saw an assortment of fish. This was the best hotel on my trip and the best breakfast.

Ho soggiornato qui la scorsa notte. Stasera sono in un hotel a 5 stelle a Berlino e non c'è molto spazio tra le stanze. Per molti versi il Park Inn a Wismar è superiore, recentemente ristrutturato, le stanze sono high tech con controllo infinito sull'illuminazione. C'è persino una luce notturna regolabile così puoi trovare la strada per il bagno. Quando chiudi una tenda, si chiude automaticamente anche l'altra. Questa roba manca nel mio hotel a 5 stelle! L'aria condizionata è più silenziosa. I cuscini sono l'unica debolezza, solo 1 a testa e relativamente sottili, non abbastanza male per lamentarsi. Non c'è piscina/spa e non c'è vasca, solo una buona doccia, ma per il resto la stanza è all'altezza di un hotel a 5 stelle. La colazione era deliziosa e un'enorme varietà di cibo, dalla frutta ai cereali, dal salmone alla colazione fritta. Posizione incantevole. Altamente raccomandato.
