Amazing room, super helpful friendly staff, reasonably priced food and drinks with the added bonus of a steam room, sauna and infinity pool, with amazing views. Faultless.

It took me a while to write this review since I was afraid of my personal safety. Nevertheless, I have finally decided to share this information with other travelers. This incident happened during a weekday night when I decided to do a walk-in at the Ibis hotel in Den Haag after a long trip. I was already aware of some bad reviews from other travelers indicating ”naughty” staff. Nonetheless, I decided to give it a go. I entered the hotel and mentioned the hotel clerk that I wanted to book a room. His attitude was rough indicating me that he did not have any rooms left. For my bad luck, my phone was out of battery so I decided to seat in one of the tables in the lobby to quickly charge it to look for a hotel somewhere else. While I was charging my phone, the clerk approached me and shouted at me that I had to leave the hotel. I explained him that I wanted to charge my phone to look for other hotels in the area and I wouldn't take much time. He continued shouting at me that I had to leave, when suddenly he grabbed my bag and literally threw it to the street. At this moment I was petrified since I never imagined something like this was happening. Then, he pushed me violently out of the hotel. Luckily I managed to take a picture of this guy. The guy has a tattoo on his right arm and rather than a hotel clerk, he thinks he is a MMA fighter or part of gang. I really don't know how the manager of this hotel can have person like this with such level of anger dealing with customers. My review by no means intend to advice other travelers to visit or not this hotel. I believe the facilities of this hotel are quite nice but what I can say is that I'm not entering this place again until they take strong actions towards improving the quality of their staff. I hope this guy doesn't get fired because of this review but if the hotel really wants to keep him, the hotel should consider send him to an anger management course. I don't know if this guy is always like this or just had a bad night and he took it on me. Nonetheless, I think no one should suffered what this guy did to me under any circumstance.

Hotel heeft en doet wat het beloofd. Heerlijk gelegen. Dichterbij de boulevard -zee en shopping centre kan niet: zeer centraal. Prima ingang voor rolstoeler. Met een handbewogen rolstoel heb je direct erna een klein duwtje nodig om bij de balie te komen. Dit is geen probleem. Andere bezoekers vragen direct een handje te helpen. Uitermate vriendelijke ontvangst. Veilige bagagestalling bij eerder aankomst c.q. Vertrek dan in / uitchecken. Meerdere liften aanwezig. Nooit wachttijd. Mijn rolstoel met e-motion wielen pasten net door de deur van de lift. Als ook tussen muur badkamer en scheidingsmuur. De deur is te zwaar om alleen te openen, sluiten vanuit rolstoel. Maar ach.....een negatief punt ? Welnee. Hoevaak doe je dat alleen? Kamer zeer netjes. Kingsizebed met tv flatscreen aan voeteneind. Heerlijk schuifdeur naar balkon. Geen enkel geluid gehoord. Zeer rustig. Badkamer heeft alles wat t moet hebben. Wel is elke m2 hier benut. Ligbad toilet en mooi wastafel compartiment. Handdoekservice. 1 badhanddoek en 1 badlaken p.p. Had voor ons wel 1 meer per dag gemogen. Een welkom met kaart en lekkernijen. Het meest heerlijk waren de bedden. Daar ik overal. Ook thuis brak eruit kom. Was het een waar genoegen te ontwaken, zonder ‘s nachts meerdere keren wakker te zijn. Mij goed te voelen i.p.v. brak. Zodanig. Dit bed wil ik thuis ook. Wij hadden incl ontbijt. Prima ! Stavo per 5 notti. Inizialmente avevo prenotato per 3 ma ho scritto alla ricezione di nuovo a novembre volevo estendere il soggiorno a 5 notti. Ho chiesto se solo facessi una nuova prenotazione e hanno detto no, è stato registrato. Quando sono arrivato alla ricezione, non hanno registrato il mio soggiorno di 5 notti e ho dovuto trovare l'e-mail per confermare sia la proroga che le notti restanti da pagare. La persona era bella e la riparava, ma mi sentivo un po' strano, e dopo la terza notte ho ricevuto un messaggio automatico di check-out, quindi ho controllato con la ricezione e pensavano che avessi controllato e dovevo passare di nuovo tutto. Avrei già pagato, così ho spiegato anche questo. Forse un biglietto o qualcosa del genere potevo essere aggiunto al sistema. La posizione era perfetta. Mi sentivo al sicuro andare in giro la notte e era molto conveniente per il centro di Amare. Il letto era molto confortevole e la doccia era calda e la doccia era di buona dimensione. Mi piacevano avere alcuni canali BBC. Penso che il giorno 4 il wifi era sbagliato. Questo non è colpa della ricezione, ma era fuori da probabilmente 30 ore. Sembra strano in un grande hotel per essere fuori per così tanto tempo. Purtroppo, ma alla fine è stato risolto. Il personale era bello. I lift funzionavano bene.

La stanza è molto grande e il letto è molto comodo!Ci sono bevande e biscotti, bello!Non c'è nessun centro commerciale intorno, ma la strada cinese può andare a La Haya per un autobus, ci sono molti ristoranti cinesi!

L'hotel era molto pulito, servizio sorprendente (il mio marito era malato con l'influenza e dobbiamo cambiare i nostri vestiti da letto e loro dove molto veloce). A proposito della posizione, la stazione ferroviaria è vicina e la stazione ferroviaria, ma è circa un'ora da Amsterdam centrale. A proposito delle strutture, è stato molto bello se l'hotel dispone di un bagno con una sauna e una stanza a vapore.

Free parking. A good start. Friendly and efficient reception. The hotel is currently undergoing a refurbishment. This was known. Room good although not yet refurbished but we knew this in advance. Good bed , good bathroom. New restaurant ”Eiber” not good. Tables between the entrance and open kitchen are a no no. A continuous stream of coming and going diners and waiting staff is passing the tables and this is distracting and chaotic. Food quality mixed. Schnitzel (pork cutlet) and fries fine but vegetables rather tasteless. Stewed pork cheek not good. As if we had the last bit scraped from the barrel. Just some ”pulled meat” in a watery ”jus”. Not very tasty. The so called ”potato gratin” was no more than a dollop of mashed potato. We also briefly tried the bar but the music was so loud that we walked in and immediately out again! So all in all: Room fine, restaurant not so!

Il bagno era suddiviso in due parti e quella con il wc piccolissima e con un'aereazione inadeguata. La dotazione di asciugamani scarsa o del tutto assente. E così per il sapone. Mancano anche le pantofole. Colazione nella media. Bella la vista.

A large hotel, conveniently situated close to the station, and also the centre of Leiden. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and pleasant, and the bed comfortable. At a very reasonable price too! I would certainly stay here again if I return to lovely Leiden. Definitely Recommended.
