Hotel Kronenhof

We loved this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and we had a terrific view of Munot. The town is absolutely charming and we enjoyed walking around everywhere — including to the Munot and the falls (about a 45-minute walk). The only negative point was that the bathroom door (a sliding door) did not close all the way and there was a bit of a crack so it was hard to be a bit discrete! We will stay here again when we return.

The hotel is located about a 10 minuet walk from the train station through the pretty town.The area is quiet ,There is a car park to the front and the church next door that seems to have quiet bells.Rooms at the font have a nice view of the Munot ( Fort ) and across the old town. There was no shortage of staff all very friendly and professional. Breakfast was fairly good with cold meats & cheeses etc. The bread was very nice and they had a good variety. The room I had 302 was at the front and fairly spacious with good light. There was no noise from outside and it was warm & comfortable.The only downside I could find was the noise from the bathroom in the room next door. I think the bathrooms were an addition in an old hotel and they didn't put enough soundproofing in so you can hear what is going on in the bathroom. The restaurant is very good and the food tasty.Service was also good and in the bar too. I would defiantly recommend a stay at this hotel in a lovely town

We loved the double room with Munot view. The room has comfortable beds, for me the pillow was too low/soft and a minibar / fridge is missing. The breakfast was amazing and you can boil your own egg, although it takes longer as water is not boiling, so calculate 10-11 minutes. Located at the edge of the old town you can easily walk everywhere. This also means that you are in the middle of people drinking and shouting in front of the hotel, but we dis not mind. The Spa is great and a place to relax, you get bathrobes at the reception. All in all a great stay

A modern hotel with nice rooms and comfortable beds. The hotel is located in the very centre of Schaffhausen and has good breakfast. The only negative was that the room smelled a bit moldy and when I looked into this I found that there was no ventilation at all- only by opening the windows. The service was nice and there is a small (very small) gym. It was easy to park the car just next to the hotel.

2 Nächte im Hotel verbracht. Das Wellness Angebot konnte ich mangels Zeit nicht nutzen und testen. Das Hotel ist älter aber dadurch hat es einen schönen Charme. Das Zimmer im Dachgeschoss war sauber, schöner Ausblick zum Munot, das Bad schon älter und etwas eng. Der Frühstücksraum hat einen angenehmen älteren Stil mit modernen Bildern. Das Frühstücksbuffet war ausreichend und lecker. Besonders die verschiedenen Käsesorten. Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist zentral und die Altstadt somit gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Das dazugehörige Restaurant klasse! 😋😋

Très bel hôtel et chambres, personnel très sympathique, restaurant bon accueil, spa semble chouette, très bien situé, parc à vélo sécurisé, petit déjeuner très bien. Très bons vins locaux au bar restaurant du Kronenhof. Il y avait eu un bug à notre réservation et ils nous ont rapidement trouvé une solution grand merci !
