The Kenton Hotel

On arrival I was greeted by the host who was lovely, she said they weren't very busy so had upgraded me to a see view room and wow! The view was spectacular! Amazing view of the north bay and castle, the bed was really comfy, private bathroom, but what I liked most of all as a solo traveller was feeling safe, which to me is very important. I'm not sure if they serve food, but there was free tee and coffee in my room and in the lounge area which was a nice touch, the room was a little chilly but there was extra blankets and soon got nice and toasty. Tv in the room, WiFi, a little fridge in the room too which would be the perfect size to store a few cans of pop. Free car park, albeit small and quite tight but that wasn't an issue on my stay as only 3 cars including mine. I think you can park for free on the road outside 6pm til 9am (don't quote me on the times, it's roughly those hours) so that would have been fine for me as I'm always up and out early anyway. All in all I could not fault this place and have already booked again for my next trip.

I booked this hotel to watch cricket at the nearby ground. On the Monday before I was due to go there I was rushed into hospital, so I contacted the hotel to cancel. My contact was not acknowledged so I chased up on Tuesday. When they finally replied they said: 1. No refund (or partial refund) as they could not resell the room. 2. They apologised for the delay in replying as this was high season and they were very busy. I felt that these two comments were contradictory. I also felt that I would have been delighted with any partial refund - which is what I got from Premier Inn for another part of my trip and from Northern Rail for my trains. Part of the cost of the room represents profit. So they were happy to keep that profit. I will not stay there in the future

A wonderful clean and friendly hotel. Our room had a fantastic view over the North bay. It is a short walk either way to the two bays and very close to the open air theatre and Peasholm park. Great value for money and I would recommend to anyone. Plenty of free parking on site is a big bonus😊

Lovely room for the night with really friendly staff very clean comfy beds and additional parking on the road which u get a disk for the parking quiet location there is a bar till 10pm with very reasonable prices and tea and coffee making facilities

Lovely owner and friend helping run this place. Great value and helpful sorting disc for car parking on road outside property as parking in front of hotel full. Went above and beyond helping dry my husbands shoes after getting caught in an unexpected downpour. Nice and quiet at night so had a great sleep and bunkbeds in family room also very comfy.

We stayed at the Kenton for 2 nights and had a lovely experience. The room was fairly spacious with a double bed and bunk beds for the children. It was spotlessly clean and the view was absolutely amazing looking over the sea and Scarborough Castle to the south. There was a lovely sitting room and breakfast room where you could help yourself to teas and coffees. The hotel is a short walk into town and also to the North Bay beach. There is an accessible cliff top walkway you can take to the coast road. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone with mobility issues or babies very young children as there are a lot of stairs. I would happily stay here again.

We stayed 22nd July to 26th July. From arriving we were made to feel at home. Jenny was a fab host! Our rooms were clean and ready when we arrived. My Dad was on the top floor and had amazing views. Especially of the sunrise! We loved the lounge/bar area it was perfect for relaxing and having a drink. We had a fabulous stay and highly recommend The Kenton.

Definitely had a room with a lovely sea view,Nice family room not all room had these mini fridge,microwave,toaster,fan,me an my partner took our granddaughter she loved the view,no food served but the dining area can still be used to eat in,was beautifully laid out plus all facilities in there for u to use/take ( coffee,tea,milk,etc) Peasholm park was a 5 min drive Scarborough town centre also a 5 min drive and even getting parking wasn't a problem,overall we had a lovely 3 day mini break,love Scarborough will definitely return..

Excellent stay staff are so friendly and helpfull room was big plenty of space great view we got free parking on arrival tea, coffee clean towels and room service each day room are quiet aswell. brillant stay deffo stay again. Great location aswell near to the open air.
