Scanno is conseidered the Pear of Abruzzo. This beautiful traditional house is full of character. It is located in the historical medieval centre of Scanno (1050m over see level). This ski resort house has been completely renovated to a very high standard. The approx. 100m property has two double bedrooms. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom. There is also a second bathroom, a spectacular living room with fireplace and sofa bed, a grand kitchen-dining room and a wonderful terrace with views of the mountains and the town centre. The Ski lift to Scanno Monterotondo is just 3 minutes walk from the house. Skiing in the National Park of Abruzzo is a different experience. Magical! In summer the ski lift is open to take hikers closer to the heart of the national park. Scanno is also a gastronomic and trekking paradise. 1750’s house in charming medieval town Great house in charming medieval town. This house has four floors and a roof terrace. There are a lot of stairs, but we knew about them ahead of time, and it was not a problem. We shopped at local shops, which are very close by, and made several lunches and dinners in the ground floor kitchen. Very well stocked with everything we needed. The town has many restaurants within an easy walk. We spent time at the nearby lake, renting a boat and having an aperitif. There are many churches to explore in the town as well. We would definitely stay here again. Victor was very informative and easy to communicate with.

5 days in beautiful Scanno very nice vertical house in center of old town. great location near restaurants and coffee shops. very clean. easy access and departure. not a property for people who struggle with stairs. hot water in showers is a little tricky. shower in one of the bathrooms needs a door, and washing machine could use some written instructions. overall, we enjoyed it, and recommend it with the few caveats already mentioned.
