My husband and I spent our honeymoon in Costa Rica and decided to return to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. I came across Waterfall Villas while searching for vegan options in Costa Rica; we requested a quote and received immediate contact from Monica. We spoke on the phone to give her an idea of our expectations and dietary restrictions. Within a short time, we received an email with a custom quote, which included nine full days of vegan and gluten-free breakfast, lunch, and dinner, three massages per person, a guided tour through Manuel Antonio National Park, and a day trip to Nauyaca Waterfall Nature Park. There are not enough words to express our thanks and how much we enjoyed our experiences. We rented a car and drove from San Jose, CR. We were welcomed with an amazing lunch on day one. The staff on-site were lovely, super helpful, and always willing to adjust timings to best fit our needs. Felipe and Sarala were fantastic, friendly, and always available. We were a bit skeptical about the food since we both have dietary restrictions and allergies, but it was outstanding and varied with every meal. Our villa was remade and cleaned daily. It had a hot tub on our deck and a giant walk-in shower in our room. The air conditioner was strong and made for a very comfortable setting. Our only negative was the water to fill the hot tub came out dirty, not sure if it was well water, but we tried to fill it twice with no luck. We lucked out and were the only people on the grounds for most of the visit, maybe the whole trip, so we were able to explore the property. Our villa overlooked the river; it was lush and filled with natural beauty. We sat on our deck and listened to the water rushing every evening we were there. The walk to the waterfall was short, a bit steep, and slippery when it rained, but it was worth it to lay in the rushing water. The property was out of a fairytale; it was stunning and really exceeded expectations, and pictures truly don’t do it justice. We enjoyed every meal sitting in a covered outdoor area next to the rushing river. We also had a very special anniversary dinner to celebrate. The Manuel Antonio National Park tour was by far our favorite experience; we had the most incredible and knowledgeable tour guide and had our own private tour. We walked through, enjoying nature, and saw many monkeys and even a few sloths, then spent hours at one of the most beautiful beaches we have seen. The tour was absolutely worth the money and time; afterward, we enjoyed the town before heading back to the villas. The trip to Nauyaca Waterfall National Park was outstanding, we arrived early and rode down in the truck. When we arrived at the waterfalls, we were the only people there for a short time. There is a level in which you can stand and take pictures and another lower level where you can swim and enjoy the water. Again, it is worth the time and money spent. The person who drove us down and picked us up was super friendly and
