Château de Saulon

Stayed for the 2nd time this year. This time we stayed in a triple suite in the Longere. Lovely location & good restaurant. Also very good breakfast buffet. There is also a swimming pool in the beautiful grounds. The staff were very friendly & efficient.

The hotel is lovely and the family suite is huge, with a wonderful bathroom. The pool however is a little small and the grass around it unkempt. Dinner was delicious but unfortunately we had to wait 2 hours for our mains which was hugely disappointing.

I was surprised to find this is our sixth year coming to Chateau De Saulon. It remains the most marvellous place = welcoming, smart, quiet and family friendly. We have evolved from small children to teenagers and all enjoy swimming in the pool, playing pool and table football, relaxing in the bar and dining in the brilliant restaurant. This visit coincided with the Tour De France which we saw on two occasions. The hotel was fully booked on Friday night but didn't feel like it. We will be back again soon.

Beautiful, child friendly Chateau, great service , we enjoyed every bit of our stay! The garden and lounge area outside where really Nice, the restaurant was very good and the rooms very clean. Great breakfast too! We definately come back again!

Very confortable hôtel with an excellent restaurant...The setting is relaxing, very nice and welcoming staff...We have experienced an excellent menu with beautiful fresh local dishes and produces. Bravo to the chef and his team...We will certainly return...

This is a lovely old chateau that had nice public spaces - big lawn and pool area in back, nice interior public spaces and bar, and an excellent restaurant across the drive. Our room and bath were lovely and updated - we had a terrasse that overlooked a pond and pasture beyond. It was an excellent stay. It is family friendly with lots of board games and, of course, the pool. Since we stayed in August, it was serving as the stop between the south and home for families/couples from all over. Staff was friendly, but we would have appreciated more assistance from them with luggage. We were visiting vineyards and its access to Gevrey Chambertin was easy and quick.

What a fabulous place to find. After travelling to and from the south of France and Italy for years, we stopped earlier in the day . It was our tenth wedding anniversary trip. No kids this time. Chateau was fabulous, as were the staff and facilities, so much so that this will be the family default stopover from now on. The restaurant was first class ,the only issue for us would be fussy teenagers and whether the menu would suit them. We had a wonderful meal with very polite and attentive service, the whole evening was a special experience. Very easy access to the A31 motorway, so there is not much chance of getting lost. Fabulous 👌
