Hotel in zona Kapelle Maria Seeberger, Sarnen

Been to this hotel's restaurant a couple times already and really must recommend. The service staff are genuinely sweet and offer top-notch service especially to tourists. The food is consistently high quality, beautifully plated, piping-hot, fresh and enjoyable. I have just not even been slightly disappointed with this restaurant. Yesterday, my husband and I dined on Schnitzel and fries... crispy schnitzel, excellent, hot fries and some insanely mouthwatering ice-cream creations for dessert. Looking forward to trying their weekly lunch specials which are reasonably priced for Swiss standards. Their outdoor seating patio is comfortable and perfect for people-watching in this delightful city in Central Switzerland.

La stanza è molto fredda, il riscaldamento non funziona davvero poiché è controllato dal governo della città, quindi dovresti portare la tua coperta riscaldata se vieni in inverno. Soggiornato 2 notti a fine Giugno. L'hotel è in una posizione centrale ma la camera con letto sing. dove stavo doveva essere originariamente una camera di servizio, dall'aspetto vetusto, stretta, senza frigobar, senza aria condizionata (c'era un ventilatore, in un hotel 4 stelle mi aspetto che ci sia...) e collegata con un'altra stanza tramite una porta chiusa a chiave (la coppia della stanza accanto con i loro bambini si sentiva come se fosse dentro la mia).Non c'era una cassaforte per laptop (solo una piccola) in stanza nè frigobar, nè personale che sapesse parlare l'italiano, come indicato nella descrizione dell'hotel. Mi hanno erroneamente fatturato il costo della camera sulla carta prepagata che avevo dato per cauzione anche se la prenotazione e il pagamento erano a carico dell'agenzia di viaggio, senza nessun preavviso e prima del check out . Ho subito segnalato la cosa al personale che ha fatto il rimborso scusandosi (non rimborsata la commissione bancaria di 3,50, segnalato anche questo ma nessuna risposta....non è per I pochi spiccioli ma la proverbiale precisione degli svizzeri dov'è andata a finire?). Non ci ritornerei.

Devi avere un veicolo per accedere. Il colazione era un po' povero, Tutto era coperto con vista sul lago dal balcone.

Wir waren nur eine Nacht und haben HP gebucht. Das Hotel liegt schön und ruhig. Ins Zentrum sinds aber gut 10 Min zu Fuss. Wie ich gelesen habe, gehört die Bänklialp dem Russen Hr. Jacobi und er sei auch für die sanfte Renovierung vor ein paar Jahren verantwortlich gewesen. Ihm oder dem Architekten eine Bestnote für die Umsetzung! ich bin selber gestalter und war beeindruckt von der Effizienz der Renovierung. Die Investition muss klein gewesen sein, der Effekt grossartig. es braucht Mut ein Hotel innen einfach schwarz zu streichen. Die Toiletten sind ein wunderbares Beispiel: Wahrscheinlich aus den 90er Jahren, hellgraue Kacheln, 08:15. Man nehme eine rohe Dachlatte, beize sie schwarz und klebe sie als Fries auf die Kacheln. Dann noch den bestehenden Siegel breit und dunkel einrahmen und fertig ist der Alpenchic. Bravo. So sind die Lobby, die Gänge und das Restaurant minimalistisch aber sehr gelungen gestaltet. Das Zimmer war in hellem Holz, gross genug und sauber. Auf Teppich kann ich heutzutage verzichten. Das Bad war klein aber alles am richtigen Ort. Was etwas nervte war die laute Lüftung. Wir hatten einen Tisch reserviert und freuten uns auf das Menu. Die Aussicht über Engelberg war schön, vor allem als sich die Dunkelheit gnädig über die Bausünden gelegt hatte. Der Kellner war freundlich und für mich etwas übermotiviert. Ich nenne das geschmeidiges Auftreten. Alles etwas übertrieben, grosse Gesten, nicht immer effizient. Wir bestellten eine Flasche Rotwein die dann eben mit viel Theatralik geöffnet wurde. Das Blei muss man halt ganz und rundherum abschneiden, dann lässt es sich auch lösen. Oder man pullt es in kleinen Stücken auf den Tisch... Zum Schluss ein lautes Plopp das durchs Restaurant hallte. Alle wussten jetzt: Wir trinken eine ganze Flasche. Zuerst dachte ich an ein Versehen, am Nachbartisch hat sich die Szene dann aber wiederholt. Kurz: Wir haben uns köstlich amüsiert. Das Essen war sehr gut, mehr als genug. Der Hauptgang war mit 20 Min. nach dem Zwischengang etwas gar spät dran, aber wir hatten ja eine Flasche Wein zur Ueberbrückung. Das Frühstück war anständig, hat sich dem Minimalismus der Gestaltung des Raumes perfekt angepasst. Ein Bild, ein Geweih, ein Gegenstand würde dem Raum gut tun, ein, zwei Sachen mehr dem Buffet. Das Check out war schnell erledigt, vor der Zahlung hätte ich aber gerne die Detailrechnung gesehen. Wenn wieder einmal Engelberg, dann Bänklialp. Ich bin sehr gespannt wie's in diesem Haus weitergeht und wünsche viel Erfolg.

Great location as it's just beside the cable car station to Titlis. The sauna and the pool were both well maintained. Overall, the stay was good. The service could have been better though.

Verena is a lovely lady, very chatty and only too happy to assist. Her house is beautifully renovated, wonderfully clean, and in a great location for exploring the local places - however as a fellow B&B owner (who regularly receives 10/10 on Booking com from my guests), I felt Verena’s guest house is best described as a “posh hostel”. She claims to have spent many years in luxury hospitality but as a guest it’s not luxurious if: 1) you have to take your dressing gown, towels, bath mat, wash bag and clothes into a shared bathroom; 2 shared bathrooms and two separate toilets for 5 bedrooms (10 people) is not luxurious. 2) you have to climb over your partner to get out of bed because the bed is jammed up against the wall on three sides, and as such you have no where to put anything during the night, no bedside table, or even a shelf above the headboard. 3) you have to go into the shared bathroom just to use the provided hairdryer. I do not understand why there isn’t one in each room. 4) you have to forgo reading your book in bed because the only (minuscule) bedside lamp is on the other side of the bed. In this modern era, and at £200 a night (even in Oct!), a shared bathroom / toilet is not acceptable (all of my rooms are ensuite); so it never even occurred to me to check that the rooms might not be ensuite at that price 😳 We stayed two nights and as such the room was tidied during our stay - but - all the towels that we had used were folded up ‘as new’ and put back on the rail amongst the unused towels. As conscientious eco friendly users we thought this an odd thing to do. We wanted to use the minimum amount of towels possible, but I had no idea what I had or hadn’t used so quite probably the whole lot would have to be washed unnecessarily after our stay, when we restricted ourselves to using just one towel each. Based on Verena’s system, keeping your towels in your room makes sense, however there is only a pretty metal stand on which to hang them up, there is not the usual radiator on which they can be hung to dry / air when damp.

La coppia che sembra possedere l'hotel è molto attenta e farà qualsiasi cosa per assicurarsi di avere un soggiorno meraviglioso. Parlano 5+ lingue tra loro, abbiamo avuto una bella conversazione sulle lingue della Svizzera e tutti i dialecti. Non sono sicuro che questo si applichi a tutte le prenotazioni, come abbiamo fatto in un grande gruppo, ma il 3 corso di pasto che è stato servito è stato meraviglioso, con il servizio completo e bevande meravigliose opzioni, tra cui la loro vigna, la cidera di mela e la birra. A mio parere, l'esperienza è stata quella di un hotel a 5 stelle che sicuramente rimarrà

Avevamo prenotato 2 notti e siamo arrivati ​​la sera. La funivia e la ferrovia a cremagliera terminano proprio davanti alla reception. La colazione è un buffet con tutto ciò che il tuo cuore desidera. Ci hanno dato una valle e un giro in montagna dall'hotel. Siamo arrivati ​​a 5 m dallo stambecco. Il tramonto è semplicemente spettacolare dal punto più alto. Il soggiorno sul Pilatus è anche un'esperienza indimenticabile grazie al ”clima imperiale” e alle tante foto.
