Anne's Washington Inn

First, the pro's -- the location is terrific, there's plenty of parking, the room was clean, the breakfast room is sunny, the continental breakfast is fine. Con's - the room we stayed in (second floor in the adjacent building) was VERY small. Since there's not much room, it would be helpful to have hooks on the wall to hang things. (The suites, however, are quite spacious and lovely.) The stairs are pretty steep (especially if you're carrying luggage) so be aware if you have any mobility issues. The continental breakfast was ok but the fruit was definitely past it's "best" day. Given the prices in Saratoga during racing season, this was a fair price. Just be aware that this is an "inn" -- not a B&B. The hosts were not particularly visible and there's not a "hot" breakfast.

My Aunt and I had a marvelous stay at Anne’s Washington Inn. If you appreciate history, community, character, hospitality and vast local knowledge, I highly recommend staying here. It is charming, welcoming and relaxing. Also, you can’t beat the location in terms of the racetrack and downtown. Joe was approachable, professional and kind. He went above and beyond to be helpful to us, and was extremely generous with his time as we peppered him with questions. We enjoyed meeting the other guests while dining out on the beautiful expansive front porch or inside at breakfast, which conveniently spans 3 hours. The booking process online as well as check-in and check-out were seamless and the prices very reasonable. Our room and the common areas were all clean and comfortable. When we return to Saratoga, we will most definitely be staying at Anne’s Washington Inn again. Check out this complete gem for yourself!

The Inn is next to Saratoga Spa State Park on the south side of town. The inn is a family operated business. We had a room that was full of light, airy, and decorated very nicely. Coffee, tea are available in the social room, with light snacks and sodas (small fee) at the desk. Continental breakfast will get you going but it is light fare. The inn is very convenient to downtown, the track, the performing arts center and the activities at the state park. It is quiet. A venue for weddings, I bet.

We were interested in this space for a wedding later in the year. THEY BAITED US: We toured the facility and loved the grounds and owner. Agreed upon certain conditions for a Wedding during the "off-season." THEY SWITCHED contract conditions suddenly to DOUBLE the expense of contract. They tried to FORCE OUR DECISION with an ultimatum EMAIL on Saturday night of EASTER weekend expecting a response by 11am Monday. After responding to the email in the ridiculous timeframe "allotted." THEY COMPLETELY GHOSTED US!! Ultimately they lied to our faces about caring about their patrons. The bottom line for this money hungry greedy business was top priority. I will NEVER recommend them. I think people should know that if you are not the party with the biggest price ticket, they will drop you hard.

We spent the July 4th weekend and were delighted with host Joe's gracious hospitality - very helpful, always cheerful. Our bed on the 2nd floor was very comfortable (although I would suggest that if there are rooms available on the 1st floor, go for one of those). The inn is literally across the street from the Saratoga Spa State Park (so instead of driving to SPAC, we walked to the gate in 20 minutes) and just one mile south of the main goings-on in Saratoga, so quiet yet nearby. Continental breakfast was more than adequate. Bikes are available. We spent our down time on the front porch. Could not have asked for a more tranquil setting.
