This past week we stayed in 1118A Point of Rocks at Bianco Sands. I would like to start off by saying that it truly gives a perfect little oasis vibe. Which was a relief to find. Unfortunately, from the very beginning the communication from management was very poor. We are used to having pretty clear information and pictures provided by the management agency. Although I did my research, I was unable to locate pictures of the unit before arrival. The website gives a general idea of what all the units look like. The only information provided before hand was their suggested places to eat or visit. Helpful, yes…. but not what we were looking for. The unit security was an issue for us. We were provided with a code upon arrival. An actual key was never provided. It could easily be opened from the outside if someone really wanted to get in. The unit was pretty clean and organized. However, we found it to be quite tacky that the cleaners suggested that a tip be left behind. I’m not sure why a tip would be necessary. Seeing as all they did was prepare the unit ahead of time. They weren’t asked to come in during the duration of our stay. We felt that the $299.00 cleaning fee charged at check in was more than sufficient. Honestly, any additional charges should be applied at the reservation time. Hitting the renters at the time of check in for a $299.00 cleaning fee and a $500.00 security deposit can be kind of blindsiding. It would make more sense to charge that during the reservation portion. Positives: - Unit was clean, organized and well stocked. -Beds were very comfortable -Pool area was easily accessible and inviting -Beautiful access to the beach, restaurants, shops and trolly. - Provided beach chairs and Beach towels - Washer and dryer was a huge bonus Negatives: - Living room furniture was stained and worn in -Bathroom door was not able to be moved in order to provide privacy. - Exposed chipped paint and damage around the bathroom sink - Tub and toilet was severely stained - Drainage throughout unit was very poor -Patio furniture was unable to be used due to being cracked and worn. Could not really use the patio. -Curtain rod fell on my husbands head when he went to open the patio doors - BROKEN glass in window neighboring unit facing our patio. This was reported to management. Absolutely nothing was done to correct it. Huge liability!!! On the day of departure the window was still shattered. - A grill is provided, but not maintained. It was filthy and unusable. Honestly our time at Bianco Sands was not terrible. However, it is very unfortunate to be hit with hidden charges. I absolutely feel like we were overcharged for what we received. We would probably not rent at Bianco Sands again. Management needs to improve on communication and the maintenance of the property has to improve.
