This HI is conveniently located just off I-75 in Venice, FL. I changed our stay from a Hilton located in North Port. Kind of a mistake. I am a member of IHG rewards and I didn’t want to loose any points earned. Check in was easy as we arrived near midnight. We entered our room and it had a musty smell which my wife thought was more of a urine smell. The A/C was on. After a discussion we stayed. We spent one more night in that room and my wife went after breakfast and asked for a new room. Desk person went and checked and he said yes it does smell as did the hallway. He put us in a new room one floor down. We moved our stuff and the new room had a slight odor but not bad. It also had a working dehumidifier that I checked and found the catch to be full of water. We could have emptied the catch every 6 hours if we had stayed in the hotel without leaving during the day. The staff was exceptional. The breakfast was standard but good HI Express. This is just a tired hotel in need of renovation. There were loose bathroom floor tiles in the first room. The rooms are carpeted with carpet tiles that were also loose in the second room. I’m sure the tiles are used because it is easier to change tiles than the whole carpet. The shower in room one had a basin that didn’t drain fully so water was left standing in the shower after use. We have been in several new and newly renovated HI Express. We’ll just try to be a little more selective next time.

We stayed in a one bedroom suite for my birthday weekend. Very spacious and clean. Large bathroom with another large sink area outside of bathroom at the end of the hall. Separate AC for the bedroom and living/kitchen area which was nice. Nice size kitchen with table to sit at. Loved the complimentary breakfast every morning!! Everyday items include hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, a variety of breads (sliced, english muffins, bagels, etc.), cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, PB and J sandwiches, muffins, and the best waffles ever!! There are two batters, blueberry and malted vanilla that you can measure into pre-marked cups to make one, two, three, or four sections of the waffle. The hot section changes daily. We had Mexican omelets with maple smoked sausage one morning and pancakes and bacon the next. There are several juices and milk to choose form and a full coffee bar with a variety of creamers. My only complaint would be that the bed was very hard for my liking and my back did not like it very well. But if you like hard beds, you won't have a problem. Will be in Venice again with the kids and will consider staying here again!

Ho prenotato una stanza prima dell'uragano Ian perché l'hotel è lontano dalla zona di tempesta e il mio condominio è nella zona b. Purtroppo, ho dovuto usare le vostre strutture solo brevemente prima che un'uscita di energia abbia preso elettricità per la maggior parte delle luci di stanza e sala, TV, a/c, ascensore, caffè, frigorifero, microonde, internet, ecc. Non un singolo outlet per caricare i telefoni. Il personale ha gestito il colazione perché avevano il potere in una stanza e una TV era sul lobby. Il suo manager ha detto che era colpa della FPL. Prima di tutto, solo un ascensore lavorava, una persona che aveva detto che era uscito per almeno quattro mesi, sembrava negligenza. Quando Ian si avvicinava, il vento ha fatto saltare una finestra e il lattice non avrebbe potuto tenerla. Problema di manutenzione? Almeno c'era una risposta rapida e un personale ha fatto un buco per mettere in hardware per fissarlo. Il potere è andato fuori mercoledì ~2, a causa della tempesta, per questo momento. giovedì, il personale ha messo insieme un buon colazione freddo, soprattutto nelle tenebre. Sono sorpreso che l'hotel non abbia più di poche batterie di luce per lobby e colazione, in Florida, le tempeste più piccole spesso causano fuoriuscite e la necessità di fulmini è qualcosa che si dovrebbe prevedere. Circa 50-100 dollari di piccole lampade a batteria conduttive avrebbero aiutato molto. Le scale erano così scure e insicure anche. Penso che sia anche negligente.

La maggior parte dei lavori di riparazione di questo hotel sembra essere completata. Non abbiamo visto segni di lavoro in corso e la nostra camera da letto/bagno di 4° piano era molto comoda, pulita e ben fornita. La zona del colazione, benché piuttosto priva di viaggiatori, sembrava anche intatto dal rumore edilizio e dal disturbo, e c'era una bella selezione di colazione da scegliere. In tutta onestà, ci ha sorpreso molto, perché il costo era molto inferiore a quello che ci è stato fatto a Sarasota. Abbiamo scelto questo hotel per la sua posizione, un viaggio veloce e facile per Celery Fields dove andiamo a cercare uccelli. Quando arrivammo, ci piaceva vedere che era fuori strada e su un ponte. Il ponte era pieno di uccelli, quindi in cinque minuti dopo il parcheggio, abbiamo avuto alcune divertenti foto. Non ci hanno dato alcun motivo di non ripetere l'esperienza, e molti buoni motivi.
