My experience at this hotel is quite unpleasant and not up to my expectations given its high rating. The room is spacious and clean. But the facility and service is just average. The biggest issue is the staff do not speak any English and fail to communicate even using translator(I understand some Japanese hotel does not feel the need to speak in other languages which is fine, but they will have to find other solutions to give clearer guidelines to help non-Japanese guests). The staff sounds polite to say sorry if they cannot help you, but they are not observant to our needs and not helpful from their actions.We stayed for 2 nights and had put a “please clean the room” sign at the door but no cleaning is done for the room. There were two onsen which men and women are assigned to use one of them at specific time, but one of them is actually old and has very limited clean-up area, so the onsen is actually not as good as the official photos suggested. The food is disappointing too, they look nice but the taste is quite bad and the cooked fish in all our meals is so rough in texture.
