Best location and very pleasant stay in this newly renovated hotel.

Great location, super-friendly staff, big bright clean room, definitely worth coming back. A very good value. Lots of nice restaurants to choose from nearby, and the hotel is set in a peaceful quiet park. The price was very good as well. Yes. You can drive across the bridge :-)

Under new management since June, I found this small, yet elegant Hotel when looking for Hotels with Spa to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We both loved the experience and were able to deeply relax and enjoy our short getaway. With a small interior and exterior swimming pool, water circuit and sauna the facilities, here we've experienced one of the best customer services we've had in all of our travels and hotels. From the cleaning staff, to the host, to the manager. All welcoming, thoughtful and sensitive to our needs. Furthermore the hotel is nicely located in the heart of Tomar, only a walking distance from the center and from most relevant places to visit. We ended our getaway planning to return.

We stayed there 3 nights and enjoyed it. The hotel was recently renovated. The rooms are furnished nicely. Ours had a pretty view to the river. The restaurant is beautiful (one part of it facing the park, the over one facing the river!) and we ate there very well. Very good breakfast also. The location is idyllic, on an island in the river, in a park, with huge old poplar trees surrounding the building. The staff took good care of us. You can walk from there to the Convento di Cristo and to the old city. We recommend this hotel very much.

My wife and I have traveled extensively. This hotel is probably among the top values we have ever experienced. There are only a small number of rooms and all are recently updated and modernized. Because it is small, the staff seems to know everyone by name. Such friendliness even seemed to imbue other guests similarly. We loved the restaurant, spa and lobby bar. The restaurant menu was a bit limited but everything we tried was excellent. The hotel manager welcomed us on arrival and said farewell when we left. She was absolutely delightful and even stepped in to perform some concierge work when we had communication issues with a local tour. The only criticism I would offer relate to the spa. They require everyone wear a shower cap for hygiene reasons. Few people travel with caps but the hotel offers them for sale on check in. In addition, the in-room robes and slippers were only suitable for extremely small people. They were laughably small compared to our typical American frames. The slippers fell apart when first tried. This is an issue because the spa floor is dangerously slippery when wet. If you choose to try this gem, please book well in advance. It is new and I expect relatively undiscovered. I suspect that will change rapidly.
