The hotel was generally new, within 10 years, it’s basically composed of about 6 hotels into one big city block. Breakfast was decent, lot of people, but luckily the venue is large enough. Not much complaints.

Very clean and comfortable stay, everything available around the hotel, nice views of the garden and very affordable for couples and family.

This hotel's got tons of fun stuff to do and is in a gorgeous spot. Beautiful big room and View 💯 It's super close to the train station and lots of restaurants, which is a big plus. The rooms are beautiful, and the staff at the front desk were great, but the best part was the housekeeper, 陈小萍. 陈小萍 was so welcoming and on top of everything, making our stay amazing. She cleaned so well, paying attention to every little thing, and that really made our trip special. She is always smiling big plus vibe. Thank you 陈小萍 入住了三天大王棕榈酒店，客房服务真的太好了，特别想给客房打扫的陈小萍美女一个超级好评，房间卫生清理得很干净，发现我们喝水比较多续住都有给我们多准备几瓶，感觉很暖心，出门碰到好几次也是很热情地和我们打招呼，感觉真的很棒，下次过来还会选这边入住

Too old and water park is dirty. Stuff are unfriendly and angry. Never come back l. Breakfast was soso, i had nothing to eat

Overall very disappointing trip. This is NOT a 5 diamond rated hotel but more like 3. If you consider and expect 3 diamond service and quality than it would meet your expectation. We checked out several nights earlier even when it was prepaid and non refundable this is how bad the hotel was (lost money for hotel and flight changes). Disappointed in the hotel and Trip.com for advertising it as such a great hotel. Some people said it was an "old and dated hotel" but it felt more abandoned place and the upkeep is horrible (not recommended if you have small kids). The location was ok, breakfast was poor to average, service needs work. Also I checked all the fine print and nothing was said that most pools would be closed. Pools and playgrounds are all extra and you need to pay. Recommend to pay extra and stay somewhere else with better facilities and service.

This place was very good. We had a great time.

The room smelled damp, and cleaning was poor - the walls and table were in a jam by past guests. I only lived there for one day, so I didn't complain. The pools were not all open, and the staff could not orient where the working pool was. The hotel area is large, there are many shops, a large shopping center and cafes. This hotel is for urban recreation. I had a coupon for a free visit to the water park on the property. But at the water park, you had to pay 20 yuan for a storage cabinet and 30 yuan for an inflatable circle without which you can't ride most slides. I didn't like the water park vacation.

The worst remark will be the aircon. Hainan sanya is quite hot like 28 degree to 35degree. This hotel aircon is pathetic. First night i am experiencing like sauna, i got to on the fan and is damn freaking noisy. So 2nd day i requested to change to another room, they get back to me 30 mins later and reason is that they need to test which room aircon is functioning, so that tell me most of their room aircon not working. Long story short, 2nd night is almost like 1st nigt, aircon still not cold and fan is noisy. And only solution is to ask if i want to change room If you dont mind with room without aircon, feel free to get this place, but if u not ok with bad aircon, avoid this hotel.

It was a great experience. As a family of 3 (including a toddler), we enjoyed our trip. The buffet was adequate. The water park and Adventure Zone were the best for my son.

Everything was perfect except for receptions because they cannot speak English
