Akrorama Private Villas and Suites

We stayed at the beautiful villa and highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. The views are unmatched, the actual villa is stunning, and Zenia is the most remarkable hostess. She helped us plan all of our adventures and sightseeing. She made dinner reservations, arranged transfers, arranged ATV rentals, and was always immediately available for a quick recommendation. We cannot say enough about her hospitality. As other reviews mention, the breakfast is delicious!! We were debating staying in either Akrotiri or Oia, and we are beyond happy we chose Akrotiri. You will not regret this stay.

What an amazing and magical place this is! We stayed in the Spilia room, named after its larger-than-expected cave-shaped private pool. The views were tremendous all around. Zenia is as nice and knowledgeable as all the reviews indicate. She proactively reached out to us to ensure we were having a pleasant stay and to see if we needed anything from her. On our first night, she recommended a local family-run restaurant The Good Heart. While we walked to get there, the owners were happy to give us a ride back to the hotel free of charge after we watched the sunset from nearby. While many people say you need a car to get around to the other parts of Santorini, we were perfectly fine taking the local bus from Akrotiri to Fira and then Oia. Easy-peasy. They have a system that works well and the buses for transfers wait for each other to arrive before departing. So much cheaper than renting a car. Only downside is that the last bus to Akrotiri from Fira is at 10pm, so you have to plan accordingly. We appreciated the quieter and calmer area of Akrotiri to spend our nights. But be ready to walk…uphill. Our calves were definitely feeling it but not terrible if you’re in moderately good shape. One surprising downside that no one has control over is the wind. Some days were super windy 24/7, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the pool or getting around. One surprising upside is the super clear nights. We could see so many stars and parts of the Milky Way. We love star-gazing and were not expecting that celestial treat. Overall, 10/10 for us.

Beautiful suite overlooking the island! The room was a cozy size with a full bathroom, mini kitchen, and a private pool. Zenia took care of us the second we arrived. She showed us around and gave us recommendations to check out. She also asked about our dietary restrictions and assured us that it was private so my wife doesn’t have to worry about wearing hijab when we were sitting outside. Breakfast was served daily at our suite. Two nice ladies would come set up the breakfast on the patio in front of the room. Overall, highly recommend it for couples!
