Immerso Hotel, a Member of Design Hotels

On the way back to Germany by car, we spontaneously spent two nights at the Immerso Hotel in Ribamar/Santo Isidoro near Ericreira. The hotel is situated on a hillside with a wonderful view of the bay. The 37 rooms are located both in the larger main building and in 2 smaller accommodation units on the hotel grounds. There were warm guest towels at check-in and a welcome drink on the beautiful pool terrace, a lovely welcome! The rooms are modernly furnished with a separate bathroom area. We slept very well, pillows and mattresses very good. Special mention should be made of the extremely discreet, attentive, personal and fast service of all the service staff, both at breakfast and at the outdoor event “Emme on Fire” with a wonderful 6-course fish menu at a fair price-performance ratio with DJ accompaniment. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired, gluten-free products also available, the fruit in particular was a specialty in terms of taste. Cake, scrambled eggs, omelette, avocado, green salad, tomatoes, salmon, simply wonderful to have breakfast on the terrace with a view, if you are a fan of filter coffee, you are also in good hands here. Coffee specialties can be ordered from the personal table service. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back, muito obrigada!

This was terrible. The room (second largest they have) was tiny and with really very little cupboard space. Nowhere to put things - felt like camping yet 5 star hotel ( plus) prices. The aircon did not work for the whole time we were there (we left after 24 hours although we had booked 4 nights). It is next to a building site - villa development - so there was noise of drilling and digging when you lie by the pool or if you open the terrace door. No warning about this and it will no doubt go on for many months possibly years. It is in the early stages. Pool area not maintained - tiles missing with sharp edges and pool decking splintered - would be easy to cut yourself or get a splinter. The food was not great and the service variable. Two waiters very nice, one waitress just plan rude. Ridiculously expensive for what it is.. No discount offered for fact we did not have properly working aircon for a full 24 hours . Would not recommend. Really surprised by some of the reviews and at least one seems written in the sane style as the hotel brochure.

Amazing views, great food. All of the staff was super helpful! Morning yoga and Pilates, plus a great patio area for parties. Would definitely recommend!!

We were at the Immerso for a destination wedding. Service is the key to everything (and the Immerso exceeds the already high standard for Portugal generally). It’s a very luxurious place, with gorgeous views of the Atlantic and town of Ericiera. The burger at the pool bar is truly worthy. And the two pools and pool deck are the focal point of the whole resort. Rooms are elegant, but purposefully simple. Food and wine, as elsewhere in Portugal, exceptional. And a very solid Bloody Mary too. Highly recommended.

The team in this hotel is amazing. Big shout out to Carolina the yoga teacher, the reception team everyone really. I love the morning yoga sessions. The spa is amazing too. Thank you for organising our surf classes too. Food is amazing room very clean, amazing view Great experience over all !!

It is a very lovely property, on the smaller side. Only has 37 rooms. The views are spectacular of the ocean from the main lobby, pool area. You do need a car or Uber to get to the nearby beach, Ribeira D’ilhas. I would recommend visiting this beach, it is beautiful & has a lovely restaurant & public restrooms. Great surfing too. We did take an Uber to & from old town Ericiera. Very affordable and a short wait ~5 min. The hotel has a very calming, bohemian, modern feel. The bed/ linens were very luxurious and comfortable. The property is very quiet, we had a lovely rest. They also provided turn down service and brought us a dessert & another large bottle of water. We enjoyed dinner at Emme with a lovely bottle of wine & tasty dishes. Daniel provided excellent local recommendations. Breakfast was included in our stay and it was top-notch. Fresh mango, kiwis, assortments of meat/ cheeses, breads, eggs juices, coffee, etc. Parking on site was free. We did not have a chance to take advantage of the spa or gym facilities. They did hold our luggage and surfboards and delivered all baggage to our room when the room was ready. We had one of the Inspire Rooms overlooking the garden.
