Struttura molto bella nel centro della bella Santillana del Mar. Edificio storico conservato molto bene. Livello elevato, stanza d’epoca, colazione buona. Molto interessante anche il ristorante con piatti di sicuro interesse. Si può raggiungere in macchina o in moto parcheggiando all’aperto o anche al chiuso.

Perfect location! Very comfortable rooms with beautiful views. The picture do not do it justice, we love Santillana Del Mar, and will definitely stay at this hotel again in the future. You drive right into the old town up to the door. Staff and service were great, breakfast and dinner were very good. I cannot say enough about the location of the hotel and the authenticity of staying in a historic location and building. Highly recommend. Take a horseback ride while there! It was AWESOME!

We stayed here for the location as it was our wedding anniversary. Biggest disappointment was the level of service for breakfast - the worst we have had at a Parador. Definitely not value for money for us.

Disappointed at the attitude of the chef. He served me a burger that was cooked on the outside but raw on the inside. I wasn’t sure at first if this was simply a “rare” burger, despite not being asked how I wanted it cooked. Ate around it , left the rest. Tested the waiter and he confirmed from the kitchen that what I left was undercooked. But because I didn’t complain they insisted I pay full price. So, the lesson here is that the chef is capable of serving undercooked food but quality control is up to you. We won’t be going back, nor will we stay at this particular Paradores on principle. This parador, we can recommend to every one. Be careful to go for a drink on the terrace in front of the parador, ypu will have to wait minimum 15 minutes before you can order and another 15 minutes to be served. Also expected rude and unfriendly service. That is really not acceptable. The other staff is fantastic.

The town is a beautiful olde worlde place, entirely cobbled and pretty. The hotel has an excellent feel, very professional but friendly staff, charming old rooms and decoration, excellent restaurant. It was a privilege to stay there.

This is a lovely old hotel with fabulous grand old rooms. Lots of charm. Bit tricky to drive to, last part of journey is on narrow cobbled streets full of visitors, but take your time and you’ll be fine. Hotels in a lovely big square with parking opposite and easy to get into. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant, picked up breakfast from a lovely little panaderia two minutes walk away and the lovely village is literally in the doorstep.

A really beautiful hotel in a gorgeous location. But something has gone badly wrong with the management. The staff were sour faced and unhelpful, and the food was literally inedible. I'm not fussy about food and will eat almost anything but I've never had anything quite so awful. I was offered a refund on my father's room and half board as he couldn't make it due to illness, but have been unable to obtain the refund through *********** as it requires written confirmation that the refund was offered. Despite several phone calls and emails requesting that confirmation the hotel hasn't sent it (despite several verbal promises that they would), meaning *********** gets to keep my money and I get no refund. Not a good experience all round.
