We chose this hotel because of its beautiful setting and peaceful atmosphere, it reminded us of Princeville in Kauai. It seemed like the perfect place to relax for a few days after a hectic period. The check-in experience was warm and welcoming, and our room was tastefully decorated with a refined, the resort had an eco-lodge vibe. Unfortunately, the room lacked air conditioning. At night, it became so hot and humid that we struggled to sleep. The first night, a door in the hallway kept slamming for hours. Although this was fixed the next day, we continued to sleep poorly throughout our stay. At times, we even sat outside on the balcony in the middle of the night, as the room was simply unbearable. We tried sleeping with the doors open, but it didn’t help much. On our first full day, we hoped to recover and enjoy the serenity of the resort. The place has great potential, beautifully designed, extremely friendly staff, and a calm, respectful group of guests (mostly nature lovers and hikers). Unfortunately, shortly after breakfast, a gardener started trimming the grass in the vineyard with a loud petrol trimmer. The noise and the strong gasoline smell lasted the entire day, completely ruining the peace we were looking for. While the breakfast was excellent, with fresh orange juice and attentive service. The adjacent restaurant was a disappointment. Both the presentation and quality of the food fell far short of expectations. Pros: breathtaking views, peaceful location, shoe cleaning station, high-quality breakfast with fresh juice, stylish interior design, friendly and attentive staff, great bar service. Cons: small bed, uncomfortable mattress and poor pillows, no air conditioning, weak water pressure, no hair conditioner provided, cold outdoor pool, indoor pool only suitable for children or lounging, cold shower, noisy and smelly gardening work during the day, the side panels of the bar near the ground looked unsavory. Conclusion: A beautifully located hotel with exceptional staff, but the rooms lack basic comfort. If you’re used to a certain level of convenience, you may find your stay here underwhelming.

Fantastic hotel, lovely staff with amazing attention to detail, lovely food and amazing breakfast. Fantastic room, very comfortable and amazing views. Lovely grounds and great pools. We would definitely stay there again.

Fabulous place to stay. Great restaurant and very attentive and friendly staff. The front desk weee especially receptive and welcoming. Breakfast buffet included and highly recommend. The staff go out of their way to accommodate you and really want you to enjoy your stay. Facilities that we used were the sauna, whirlpool, indoor and outdoor pool. Only criticism was that the temperature of the hot tub was not high enough (maybe a safety requirement?)
