We had a fantastic yoga retreat at Gitana Del Mar. EVERYTHING beyond expectations. The friendly and kind staff was present for us 24/7. Beautiful and clean cabanas, all space is taken care of so well. FANTASTIC yoga Shala and Beach Temple. The food was MESMERIZING! We easily could compare to Michelin star restaurants. Highly recommend this tucked-away in the magical jungles resort!

My stay was to attend a yoga retreat. The property is a beautiful jungle that opens to a quiet pristine beach. The yoga shala was magical, spa was a treat, and the food was superb. I am vegan and the chef prepared delicious creative dishes for every meal. My room was simple but very comfortable, wonderful outside shower!

We went to Gitana Del Mar for a wedding and it was perfect! The location and space is amazing, the staff are very friendly and the food is incredible. I would highly recommend Gitana Del Mar to anyone looking for a hotel in the Santa Marta region.

The landscape work is astounding! Very Zen to immerse yourself in nature for resting and relaxing. Staff and owners are kind and caring. Food was also beyond our expectations, generous and flexible to accommodate our preferences. The hotel hosts retreats often so that makes your time even more fun, you do not have to participate to still feel the experience. The architecture of the common areas is beautiful, no resources were spared to make you feel abundant and important.

We spent 3 full days with family and friends. The location is spectacular and the staff is amazing. We felt like spending time at home thanks to all the people that helped us in the hotel. Super professional staff where everything is about details. The food is amazing and the activities organized were superb! Spent five days at the resort on a mommy-daughter facilitated retreat. Absolutely love the fact that the entire resort was dedicated only to our entire group and staff. Staff is wildly accommodating, and go above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable. Bungalows were clean; towels and supplies were readily available. Food was absolutely divine! Felipe at the tiki bar is the sweetest man on the planet. Pool is only a couple feet deep, which is great for children. The beach is very well-maintained. The animals are abundant, and not afraid of humans at all. The yoga temple was definitely one of my favorite structures on the property. Please note that speaking Spanish is a necessity on the resort and navigating to the resort from other parts of Columbia. 5/5 absolutely recommend.

My wife and I stayed at the Gitana del Mar after spending a week in Santa Marta. It's a lovely relaxing beachfront resort with meals included. While the property is excellent, the food is over the top. Each meal is a gourmet meal, well presented and delicious. If there were an issue, it would be that there is too much food. Ok, not a real issue, we were able to eat everything. The resort offers massages, which are, again, very good. We stayed in bungalow B2 and recommend it due to its proximity to wifi, the dining area and the pool.
